Genuine Enjoyment!

For who can eat, or who else can have enjoyment, more than I? (Eccl. 2:25)

When I was growing up, my family lived next door to a family that had many of the world's goods we didn't have, but they didn't have the joys Christ can bring---which we had in abundance. I remember one Christmas when we were singing together as a family. . . .

Suddenly, my mom said, "We're making so much noise; we better close the windows or we'll disturb all the neighbors." So we closed the windows.

Within minutes our phone rang. It was a girl who lived next door. She asked, "Why'd you close the windows?"

"Well, we didn't want to disturb you," was Mom's answer. The girl blurted out, "Disturb us? That's the most laughter we've heard the entire Christmas season! . . . That's beautiful music!" . . .

If you really want to have fun---I mean the kind of fun that is really enjoyment (without a hangover)---then you need . . . a relationship with the living God.

Living on the Ragged Edge

What is it like to experience genuine enjoyment? Do we find genuine enjoyment in the people, places, and things of this world? Do we find genuine enjoyment when we spend time alone? In what exactly do we find genuine enjoyment?

As a little child growing up, I was often told that I found genuine enjoyment running around naked at home through crowds of people. Yes, I was that typical little child that had no inhibitions about what other people thought as I found enjoyment in running around naked. The image at the top of this post reminds me of that time in my childhood where I experienced genuine enjoyment.

As the years went by, that sense of enjoyment has waned since I started to experience life in the "real world". That sense of enjoyment was clouded by a sense of dread, despair, and any number of other negative emotions that I experienced as I have gotten older. Those negative emotions have slowly, but surely fallen off as I began to learn more about Jesus, His Father, and the role of the Holy Spirit in my life.

Even though it is possible to a certain extent to experience some measure of genuine enjoyment in the external, I have come to an even greater understanding that true, genuine enjoyment can only be experienced when God is at the extreme center of my life. Happiness is exclusively dependent on the external. Joy, especially genuine joy can only be experienced from within. The Source of that genuine enjoyment is God Himself.

It is His joy that can fill the void in our hearts. It is His joy that allows us to gain the strength we need whenever we experience the storms of life. Storms are inevitable. They may come fast and furious, like a tornado. They can be long and drawn out like when a hurricane makes landfall. They may also come suddenly out of nowhere like a brief thunderstorm in the wonderful state of Florida. Regardless of the type of storm you find yourself in, always know that though the storm you go through may rob you of happiness, God's joy will radiate though you in ways that you may not be able to understand at first, but you will experience peace in ways that happiness alone cannot provide.

My dear friends, the genuine enjoyment that comes from God is like a wind of fresh air. It refreshes our soul. Provides relief, even in the face of rejection and persecution among many other things that satan, this world, and even our flesh will conjure up.

Are you ready to experience genuine enjoyment with child-like faith regardless of what anyone says or thinks about you?

Thank you so much for reading this far my friends! May God continue to bless you and keep you in Jesus' mighty name! JESUS LOVES YOU AND SO DO I!!!!. . . . :-).

Perspectives And Preferences!

Let us therefore follow after the things which make for peace, and things with which one may edify another. (Rom. 14:19)

Disagreements are inevitable. . . . There will always be opposing viewpoints and a variety of perspectives on most subjects. Tastes differ as well as preferences. That is why they make vanilla and chocolate and strawberry ice cream, why they build Fords and Chevys, Chryslers and Cadillacs, Hondas and Toyotas. That is why our nation has room for Democrats and Republicans, conservatives and liberals---and moderates. The tension is built into our system. It is what freedom is all about, including religious freedom. I am fairly firm in my theological convictions, but that doesn't mean you (or anyone) must agree with me. All this explains why I place so much importance on leaving "wobble room" in our relationships. One's theological persuasion may not bend, but one's involvements with others must.

The Grace Awakening

Various perspectives and preferences abound and are all around us. Being surrounded by people from different walks of life, it is essentially inevitable that disagreements will happen from time to time. What it boils down to is how we respond to those disagreements when they arise.

Depending on the person and situation, your response to that person's perspective and preference may vary from providing that person a listening ear to an outright confrontation. In an event of an outright confrontation, we must always be mindful that we do so in love.

More often than not, simply listening to someone and giving that person your undivided attention will often smooth over any perspective and preference. As Christians, we must always be willing to listen and respect the various perspectives and preferences people have, even if they do not agree with the godly perspective and preference we hold and treasure. Whenever you are confronted with someone who has opposing perspectives and preferences and they insist on maintaining that ungodly perspective and preference, simply agree to disagree, walk away from the conversation, and maintain them in your prayers.

Granted, in our zeal for the Lord, we want to encourage people to see things the way God sees things. The unfortunate reality is that there are many people who are set in their ways and will not waiver regardless of what God has to share with them. The biggest obstacles that gets in the way from being able to achieve a godly perspective and develop Christ-like preferences are pride and ego. In order for us to be successful in changing people's perspectives and preferences, we must pray for the removal of pride and ego and for humility to be the foundation for any perspective and preference they may have. God help us in allowing us to change the perspective and preference of each individual as He empowers us to learn how to approach each individual wisely and with a great deal of respect, dignity, and love for where they are right now.

Moral Purity!

The foolishness of man perverts his way: and his heart frets against the LORD. (Prov. 19:3)

It is impossible to come to terms with moral purity without dealing with some practical facts related to the body---our flesh-and-blood appetites that crave satisfaction. Volumes are written about the mind, our emotional makeup, our "inner man," the soul, the spirit, and the spiritual dimension. But by comparison, very little is being said by evangelicals today about the physical body.

We are to present our bodies as living sacrifices to God. (Rom. 12:1)
We are instructed not to yield any part of our bodies as instruments of unrighteousness to sin. (Rom. 6:12-13)
Our bodies are actually "members of Christ"; they belong to Him. (1 Cor. 6:15)

You see, these bodies of ours can easily lead us off course. It isn't that the body itself is evil; it's just that it possesses any number of appetites that are ready to respond to the surrounding stimuli . . . all of which are terribly appealing and temporarily satisfying.

Strengthening Your Grip

Moral purity is a mandate that God has bestowed upon us. In our response to that mandate, we must take personal responsibility of how we steward our bodies. Our bodies are a reflection of God's ingenuity.

In our pursuit of moral purity, we must ask God for the wisdom to help us weather any temptation that comes our way. It is because of the lack of moral purity that sin has been able to abound in our society today. The lack of moral purity has even infiltrated our churches. Has anyone ever wondered why the divorce rate among Christian couples are just as high as non-Christian couples?

The Bible tells us that for lack of knowledge my people perish (Hos. 4:6). If we are to change course and bring moral purity back into our lives, we must acknowledge God. We must acknowledge Him in every single area of our lives, especially with our bodies. Satan and this fallen world we live in is attacking the sanctity of moral purity.

The enemy may have been winning this battle of moral purity, but we will achieve victory in this war when Jesus comes back in all His glory. Even before His coming we can achieve the "little" victories as the Holy Spirit intercedes on our behalf. Be encouraged my friend! Maintaining moral purity in our own strength is impossible because we are continuously bombarded with things that constantly feed our flesh and minds. My dear friend, if you're facing a difficult situation that challenges your moral purity, stop and give God  moment of your time and ask Him to help you fight off any temptation that may cause you to fall from God's grace. In your plea with God, ask Him with a sincere, repentant heart and with a great deal of urgency to surround you with people that will protect, honor, and respect your moral purity. He will be more than happy to oblige. I know. I used to be one of those people who have either lost their moral purity or have come very close to losing it. For those of you that have lost it, there's always redemption. All you need to do is ask Him.

Trust God For The Next Step!

A man's heart plans his way: but the LORD directs his steps. (Prov. 16:9)

Let me pass along and old motto of mine. It's guided me for well over thirty years and remains as appropriate now as the day it first slapped me alongside the head.

I try, I fail.
I trust, He succeeds!

Isn't that true? What simple counsel. Only eight words, yet how profound. Bottom line: If you are moving in the energy of the flesh, you're doomed to fail. The old hymn says it well: "The arm of flesh will fail you, you cannot trust your own." But when you trust the Lord God to give you the next step, when you wait in humility upon Him, He will open the doors or close them, and you'll get to rest and relax until He says, "Go."

Moses: A Man of Selfless Dedication

Trust. That can be a very difficult word to come by for many people including some of you reading this right now. Trust is one of those words that reflects vulnerability. It is in those moments when we are most vulnerable that trust is proliferated upon not only our own lives, but in the lives of everyone around us.

Given the difficulty of how we are capable of trusting one another, how much more difficult will it be to trust God on our own strength? Trusting God goes above and beyond our own limitations. Trusting God with every single aspect of our lives requires faith. It requires the understanding that God is sovereign and reigns over every single aspect of our lives. The type of faith that I am referring to is not blind faith, but a visionary's faith. A radical, sometimes stubborn faith.

There are numerous people in the Bible that had to exercise their trust in the Lord. The most remarkable thing about God is that He will use our trust in Him and use that trust for our good because we are placing our total dependence on Him and Him alone. The path that you are currently on may have a lot of obstacles in the way. The path you are on may even look like the one in the image above. Regardless of what our path looks like at the present moment, there will one day come a moment when you will finally see the path that will take you to your eternal destination, heaven.

My dear friends, let us trust that God has nothing but good things in stored for you during your time here on earth, but ultimately in heaven. Our trust in Him will brings before the very presence of Jesus Christ when He comes back to bring us to our real destination which is heaven. Do you trust Him with your life?  Do you trust Him with your health, finances, relationships, career, and anything else He has in store for you? If so, then you are well on your way to achieving what God has in store for you. If not, now is your chance to rectify that and submit yourself and your life to God in humility and with a genuine spirit of repentance. Surrender yourself to Him and Him alone! When everything comes to a head, the only Person you will be answering to one day is God and God alone. No one else, but God.

Trust God for the next step my friend!

God Reigns Over All!

A man’s steps are of the LORD; how can a man then understand his own way? (Prov. 20:24)

Stop and think for a moment about the word sovereignty. There's a small word nestled in the heart of it, the word reign: sov-reign-ty. . . .

Sovereignty means our all-wise, all-knowing God reigns in realms beyond our comprehension to bring about a plan beyond our ability to alter, hinder, or stop.

Let me go further. His plan includes all promotions and demotions. His plan can mean both adversity and prosperity, tragedy and calamity, ecstasy and joy. . . . His plan is at work when we cannot imagine why, because it is so unpleasant, as much as when the reason is clear and pleasant. His sovereignty, thought it is inscrutable, has dominion over all handicaps, all heartaches, all helpless moments. . . . Even when we cannot explain the reasons, He understands. And when we cannot see the end, He is there, nodding, "Yes, that is My plan."

The Mystery of God's Will

God does indeed reign over all things. The signs of His sovereignty are all around us. All you have to do is to look at yourself in the mirror. The way we have been put together is all by God's design. I can expand even further by simply encouraging all of you to follow the events of the Middle East as of lately. Every single event points to God's sovereignty.

The vast majority of may not be able to relate to the adversity, tragedy, and calamities that our Christian counterparts in the Middle East are currently experiencing, but we have Jesus in common with them. The understanding that God reigns becomes crystal clear as we experience everything that has been described in the above devotional by Charles Swindoll. What a joy it is to be able to experience God's sovereignty over our lives regardless of what we go through. It is in God's sovereignty that we can find comfort in both good and bad times.

Jeremiah 29:11 is a very popular verse that Christians stand on in regards to God's plan for our lives, but that verse is only part of the equation. We must embrace and understand every single verse that relates to God's plan and sovereignty over our lives. At the heart of God's sovereignty lies His innate desire to help us achieve victorious lives. The definition of victorious living will vary from one person to another, but what I think God wants us to achieve is that we become content with God's reign in every single area of our lives.

My dear friend, have you genuinely and wholeheartedly given God reign over your life? Have you or will you acknowledge God's sovereignty in every single aspect of your life? In order for us to be a blessing to others that God has placed in our lives, we must acknowledge that God reigns over all things and people. His sovereignty extends into places that we can never image or fathom. Be encouraged my friends! Let us allow God to reign over our lives and take dominion of our will in the same way His Son, Jesus, surrendered His will to His Father in the Garden of Gethsemane. Jesus acknowledge God's reign. Let us do the same and encourage others to do the same in Jesus' mighty name!

Thank you so much for reading this far my friends! May God continue to bless you and keep you in Jesus' mighty name! JESUS LOVES YOU AND SO DO I!!!!. . . . :-).

Get Out Of The Rut!

A merry heart does good like a medicine:but a broken spirit dries the bones. (Prov. 17:22)

Even though our work-week is decreasing and our weekend time is increasing our country lacks inner peace. External leisure does not guarantee internal rest, does it? Time on our hands, we have. But we don't have meaningful "rest" in the Biblical sense of the term. . . .

The answer is [to make] a radical break with the rut of normal living. My good friend Tim Hansel suggests taking different kinds of vacations: midget vacations or mini-vacations (two minutes or more!). Change your routine, my friend. Blow the dust of boredom off your schedule. Shake yourself loose and get a taste of fresh life. Here are several suggestions for adding "zip" to your leisure:

Begin jogging and/or an exercise program . . .
Buy a bicycle and start pedaling . . .
Enroll in a local art class . . .
Take up a new hobby . . .
Dig around in the soil, plant a new garden.

Strengthening Your Grip

There have been plenty of moments that I have fallen into a rut. Some of those instances were of my own doing while others were totally beyond my control. I must admit, at first, that I never felt comfortable being in a rut and to a certain degree that remains true today. As uncomfortable as being in a rut is, there is an opportunity for God to reveal Himself to us in ways that we may never be able to experience Him.

Joseph comes to mind when I find myself in a rut. The rut can come in the form of being rejected by family and friends. The rut can also come in the form of being sent to a foreign place where you know no one. There are numerous other things that Joseph experienced that constitutes of "being in a rut".

It was during that time when Joseph was in the rut when He saw God's hand upon his life. He saw God's hand move in a number of different scenarios ultimately culminating with his ascension to the throne at the right hand of the Pharaoh. Joseph should serve us as a constant reminder that no matter what situation you find yourself in, God is always faithful in completing the plan He has for our lives. It is only in the rut where God will demonstrate His awesome power in our lives. It is only in the rut where we will have no other choice but to turn to God in total dependence and relinquish any control we have over our own lives.

My dear friend, do you find yourself in a rut right now as you read this post? Do you feel like the world is crumbling down upon you and there is no escape? Do you feel like your life is coming to a complete end? Take heart and know that God is by your side. All you have to do is call out His name by faith. All you have to do is let go of any control you thought you had over your life and ask God to take the reigns of your mind, heart, spirit, and soul. I personally had to come to the point in my life where I had no other choice but to acknowledge God's sovereignty and allow His will to manifest in my life. Have you come to that point already? If so, then LET GO. . . LET GOD! If you haven't, no worries, you are well on your way and God will have already equipped you in part by simply reading this post and sharing it with the people you love most. God has already prepared the way. All you need to do is trust Him when you find yourself in a rut.

Focus First On God!

I will praise the LORD according to his
righteousness: and will sing praise to the name of the LORD most high. (Ps. 7:17)

There is a mystery, an aura about the living God that is designed to force us to trust Him, even when we cannot figure Him out (which is most of the time). . . .

The mystery is purposeful, because His overall plan is profound. . . . His plan is not designed to make us comfortable; it's designed to make us more like Christ, to conform us to His will. . . .

In this life, we have focus choices. We can focus on ourselves, we can focus on our circumstances, we can focus on other people, or we can focus on God. When you think biblically you focus first on God. Regardless of what you want, regardless of the circumstances you're under, regardless of what others say or think, regardless of how you feel, God and God alone is working out His great plan. And in the final tally, it will be fabulous!

The Mystery of God's Will

Focusing first on God can be far more difficult to do than many people think. There are so many different things that vie for our attention that it's sometimes very easy to take our focus or intended focus on God and then before we know it we are being pulled away from God and something and/or someone else becomes our sole focus. An excellent example is when Jesus was spending time with His disciples in the Garden of Gethsemane. During their time in the garden, the disciples fell asleep during their time of prayer. Jesus called them out and in the process exposed their lack of focus.

As Christians, we must have an understanding that we must focus first on God. God knows exactly what will happen in our day long before we do. God provides us with the direction that we need to be able to live daily in a manner that will honor Him and glorify Him. All of this and so much more can be achieved when we maintain our focus on God throughout our entire day.

So friends, have you been able to maintain your focus first and foremost on God? If so, what kind of challenges and blessings have you experienced as a result on maintaining your focus on God? Always remember, by you focusing on God first, there's always the possibility that God may reveal something to you that will be of significance to you or someone else you know. He may even reveal the intended harm that is coming your way. Our God is a supernatural God. He works beyond the realm of human understanding and insight. In whom or what will you give your first focus to?

Finding Fulfillment!

In the way of righteousness is life; and in the pathway thereof there is no death. (Prov. 12:28)

The ad campaigns that come out of Madison Avenue promise much more than they can deliver. Their titillating messages fall into four categories:fortune and fame, power and pleasure. . . .

Fortune. Fame. Power. Pleasure. The messages bombard us from every direction. But what's missing in all this? Stop and ask yourself that question. Isn't something very significant absent here?

You bet. A vertical dimension. There's not even a hint of God's will or what pleases Him in the hard-core pursuit of success. Note also that nothing in that horizontal list guarantees satisfaction or brings relief deep within the heart. And in the final analysis, what most people really want in life is contentment, fulfillment, and satisfaction.

Hope Again

Here's the million dollar question. . .

In whom or what do you find fulfillment?

Do you find fulfillment in the fortune you acquired?
Do you find fulfillment in the fame you acquired?
Do you find fulfillment in the power you have?
Is in pleasure you find fulfillment?

It's extremely easy to get swept up in our accomplishments. The current of our own accomplishments sweep us out into a world that is cultivated to pull us away from God and place an emphasis on self-fulfillment. It is when we stop contributing the fulfillment we experience to God when we become self-centered, self-absorbed, even self-righteous.

As a US citizen, I happen to live in a culture that thrives on independence. Our independence is so highly valued, that it is highly encouraged to place the emphasis on self over everything and everyone else. There is one legitimate problem with that. Our independence sends a loud message to the rest of the world that we are in charge of our lives, not even God.

In reality, only God can fulfill our deepest longings, desires, and any goals we have in life. Only God can fulfill that empty void that is in our hearts. Drugs, alcohol, money, smoking, and sex may be able to provide temporary fulfillment. Even a successful career or business can provide us with temporal fulfillment. But if those are the only things that we can find fulfillment in, then we are in serious trouble. All of those things will sooner or later not only pull us away from God, but pull us away from our loved ones. Finding fulfillment in anything and anyone but God is a recipe for disaster.

Don't get me wrong, it's more than possible for God to bring people and things into our lives that can provide some measure of fulfillment because those people and things are instruments of God. Those people and things provide eternal value. Any person and thing that is directly connected to God in some way, shape, or form will enable us to find the fulfillment we desperately need. Once we have found our fulfillment in God and God alone, we will experience true and real contentment and satisfaction with our lives.

Praising Personal Worth!

The mouth of a righteous man is a well of life;. . . In the lips of him that has understanding wisdom is found. (Prov. 10: 11, 13)

When we say thank you to someone who completes a task, we are expressing our appreciation. But when we acknowledge and express our gratitude for what others are---in character, in motive, in heart---we are affirming them personally. A mark of maturity is the ability to affirm, not just appreciate.

How easy to see people (especially family members and fellow [employees]) as doers of tasks, but a task-oriented mentality is incomplete. As important as appreciation for a job well done may be, it too is incomplete. People aren't human tools appointed to accomplish a set of tasks, but human beings with souls, with feelings. How essential it is to recognize and affirm the unseen, hidden qualities that make an individual a person of worth and dignity.

Laugh Again

Being praised for our personal self-worth builds a very strong foundation for our self-esteem and vice versa. Our ability to recognize and affirm those that God has placed in our lives is essential for our respective communities to develop strong and cohesive individuals, families, and any institution that comprises of people.

As Christians, we are fortunate and blessed to have a loving God in our lives that values us and praises our personal worth. Jesus epitomizes praise! When He was crucified, He saw our worth. He saw how valuable we would be long before we saw our own self-worth.

My dear friends, are you praising someone's personal worth? Are you going out of your way to recognize and affirm someone you know with a great deal of dignity and respect? Always be mindful of the opportunities God creates for you to make a significant contribution to a person's personal worth. Chances are likely you are going to one day going to need someone to praise YOUR  personal worth.

Accountable To Each Other!

But he that hears reproof gets understanding. (Prov. 15:32)

People who are accountable usually have four qualities:

Vulnerability---capable of being wounded, shown to be wrong, even admitting it before confronted.
Teachability---a willingness to learn, being quick to hear and respond to reproof, being open to counsel.
Availability---accessible, touchable, able to be interrupted.
Honesty---committed to the truth regardless how much it hurts, a willingness to admit the truth no matter how difficult or humiliating the admission may be. Hating all that is phony or false.

That's a tough list! . . . Today we need others to hold us accountable. Sometimes an objective opinion will reveal a blind spot. Sometimes we may simply need a sounding board to help keep us on target. Just remember---not one of us is an island. We need one another.

Living Above the Level of Mediocrity

There is no doubt that holding ourselves accountable to one another takes alot of courage. Accountability helps us to keep our character in check. It helps us to stay on the "straight and narrow".

The one verse that comes to mind when it comes to accountability is Proverbs 27:17. As iron sharpens iron. . . . Accountability allows us to be vulnerable, teachable, available, and last, but not least, honest.

It is those four qualities that make accountability so difficult to achieve. When we allow ourselves to be accountable, our ability to be transparent becomes evident. For accountability to be effective, we MUST be transparent. We must be honest, brutally honest if need be. Before we can be accountable to each other, we must first be accountable to God.

Accountability starts the moment you wake up first thing in the morning. Spending a moment in prayer and in the reading of God's Word is indicative of a lifestyle that is disciplined and accountable. The best coaches, counselors, pastors, and lay leaders are those who are first and foremost accountable with themselves before they can hold themselves accountable to others and request the same from others.

A healthy home, church, workplace, and community has learned the discipline of accountability. My dear friends, can you honestly say that you are holding yourself accountable so that you can in return hold yourself accountable to others and encourage others to do the same? Western cultures have made accountability look like something that is old fashioned and outdated. It is because of that cultural influence that we have men and women who put more weight on independence and self-sufficiency. As a result, we have nations that are in moral and spiritual decay. It is the lack of accountability to God and to one another that has resulted in the way the world is today. If we are going to stand before God in judgment and come out of it blameless, we must start right now and hold ourselves accountable to God and each other. Otherwise, you may not like the result of YOUR judgment. BE ACCOUNTABLE MY FRIENDS. . . . BE ACCOUNTABLE!!!!

No One Is Insignificant!

But the path of the just is as the shining light, that shines more and more unto the perfect day. (Prov. 4:18)

Have you ever noticed how uniquely adapted each animal is to its environment and its way of life? On land, a duck waddles along ungainly on its webbed feet. In the water, it glides along smooth as glass. The rabbit runs with ease and great bursts of speed, but I've never seen one swimming laps. . . .

God has placed you in His family and given you a certain mixture that makes you unique. No mixture is insignificant!

That mix pleases Him completely. Nobody else is exactly like you. That should bring you pleasure, too.

When you operate in your realm of capabilities, you will excel and the whole Body will benefit . . . and you will experience incredible satisfaction.

The Finishing Touch

Have you ever felt inadequate? Have you ever felt like you didn't belong? Have you ever been told that you would not succeed in life? If the answer to any of these questions is yes, then I have good news for you. No one is insignificant!

Yes, my dear friend, no one is insignificant. Just because you have been told by someone who most likely doesn't know any better that you are insignificant. That doesn't imply that you are. You are more significant than you can possibly imagine. There are many people from different walks of life that at one time may have been confronted with moments of insignificance. You may feel insignificant because of your upbringing, your socio-economic status, etc., etc. . . . .

Let me remind you right now that you are more than significant, you are victorious. Regardless of what your life looks like right now, when you gather around people that truly care about every single aspect of your life, you become significant not only to them, but to God as well. The reality is that life without God at the extreme center of your life is essentially a life of insignificance, especially in light of how God sees you. There are many people who don't have Jesus in their lives that have achieved a measure of worldly "significance". It is one thing to experience significance in the eyes of the world. It is an entirely different situation when your significance is connected and centered in Christ. Your significance has eternal value. Not just temporal value.

Tell me friend, in whom do you find significance? Is your significance in Christ? Or is it in the world? With that said, those who are in Christ, no one is insignificant!

An Extraordinary Day!

I will come on you as a thief, and you will not know what hour I will come upon you. (Rev. 3:3)

Most of our days begin rather predictably. Day after day, for the most part, we could enter into our diary the same three words: "No big deal." Days  don't begin with divine skywriting. . . . Angelic choirs don't waken us with celestial harmony, blending their voices in the "Hallelujah Chorus." . . . However, days that begin uneventfully can also lead into an unbelievable, indescribable series of heart-stopping experiences. Ordinary days, in fact, can become extraordinary. . . .

How about the day Jesus arrived? There wasn't one citizen in Judea who awoke that morning expecting the day to bring such a life-changing event in the village of Bethlehem. . . .

And what about the day. . . of Christ's return? . . . Homemakers will be shopping. Planes will be taking off and landing. . . . Then, suddenly, in the twinkling of an eye, Christ will split the sky, and God's great plan for the future will suddenly take center stage. It could be tomorrow. It could be today!

Esther: A Woman of Strength and Dignity

My dear friends, an extraordinary day is quickly approaching us. The signs of the Second Coming of Jesus Christ are all around us. All we need to do is to stay informed about what happens in the Middle East as well as other parts of the world in regards to some of the major players that will be playing a role in the last days.

Jesus is coming soon my friends! Like a thief in the night, Jesus will show up unannounced and with world at large caught off guard. We are living in an era that points to the imminent return of Jesus Christ. Are you ready to be taken by Jesus when He comes in all His glory and ready to execute judgement? For those of us who are alive in Christ right now and those who have already passed away in the Lord, the Second Coming of the Lord will indeed be an extraordinary day for us. What about those who are not in Christ? What about those who have yet to accept Christ as our Lord and Savior? Many people perish daily for a variety of different reasons. You must ask yourself, my Christian friend, if you are doing what the Word of God has already been telling us for over 2,500 years. Want to know what that message is? The message is quite simple. To go into the world and bring the Good News (Gospel of Jesus Christ) to the four corners of the world.

The four corners of the world will vary from one person to the next. God has blessed me with literally getting out the message of faith, hope, and love to virtually every single nation in the world, including those nations that will play a major role in end time events. All of us as Christians have a responsibility before the Lord to carry out the Great Commission and win as many souls for Christ as possible before Jesus comes again. The unfortunate reality for many is that Jesus' Second Coming will not be an extraordinary day for them. NOW is your chance to make the most of your opportunity to accept Christ as Lord and Savior of your life. Don't wait until tomorrow to do it. Tomorrow may be too late and will wind up being left behind along with billions of other people. Is it really worth taking the risk to continue to live your life like God does not exist and that Jesus will never be coming back? For anyone reading this post, if you are in Christ, then you have nothing to worry about and I strongly encourage you to share this post with anyone that you that is not in Christ. There are many others like myself that are getting the message out of Jesus' imminent return. Jesus is coming back soon my friends! Are you ready? If so, then it will be an extraordinary day for you. If not, NOW is your time to find someone (known or unknown) and find the opportunity to have faith in Jesus Christ.

Thank you so much for reading this far my friends! May God continue to bless you and keep you in Jesus' mighty name! JESUS LOVES YOU AND SO DO I!!!!. . . . :-).

Lord, Keep Me Balanced!

Remove far from me vanity and lies: give me neither poverty nor riches; feed me with food needful for me. (Prov. 30:8)

The longer I live the more I realize the ease with which we can slip into extremes. I see it all around me and sometimes, to my own embarrassment, I find it in myself. A major prayer of mine as I grow older is, "Lord, keep me balanced!"

We need a balance between work and play, between kindness and firmness, between waiting and praying, between saving and spending, between wanting too much and expecting too little, between warm acceptance and keen discernment, between grace and truth.

For many folks, the struggle with imbalance is not an annual conflict---it's a daily grind. . . . The adversary of our souls is the expert of extremes. He never runs out of ways to push us to the limit . . . to get us to go so far out on one end we. . . cast perspective to the winds.

The longer I live, the more I must fight the tendency to go to extremes . . . and the more I value balance.

Living Beyond the Daily Grind

Balance is so desperately needed in our lives. Balance allows us to put things in proper perspective and allows us to prioritize what is most important in our lives. Establishing the ideal balance in our lives is virtually impossible given the constant shift in priorities that we have in our lives. So it's a given that establishing the ideal balance in our lives cannot be accomplished on our own.

With that said, the ideal balance for our lives can only be accomplished when we filter our lives through the Word of God. The Word of God provides us the guidelines in which we can live our lives giving God the glory and pleasing Him in the process while also being of benefit to ourselves and those around us. Regardless of the area of your life that needs balance, the Word of God will provide us the answers we need.

The world we live in is like a tightrope. Our daily lives are constantly hanging in the balance while we are being pulled in a million different directions by various people and things that are desperately vying for our attention. My dear friends, if your life at the present moment is out of balance, I strongly encourage you to drop whatever it is that you are doing at the present moment, take a deep breath, and give God a minute of your time and simply meditate in His Presence. With God at the extreme center of our lives, we can achieve the ideal balance we have always looked for regardless of whatever situation we find ourselves in. Do you find yourself in a very chaotic situation right now? Does it feel like the world around you is crumbling underneath you? Do you feel like the world is turning against you? I strongly encourage you to say the following now and every chance that you get:

Lord, keep me balanced!

As you acknowledge Jesus in every single detail of your life, those words will always come to mind.

Thank you so much for reading this far my friends! May God continue to bless you and keep you in Jesus' mighty name! JESUS LOVES YOU AND SO DO I!!!!. . . . :-).

Just The Right Message!

Cause me to hear your lovingkindness in the morning; for in you do I trust. (Psa. 143:8)

Listen to me, victims of mistreatment. More importantly, please listen to God's truth. He has a hundred different messages to give you during a hundred different dungeon experiences. He knows just the right message at just the right time., and all it takes to receive it is a sensitive, obedient, trusting heart. Not one preoccupied with revenge or bitterness or hostility, but a heart that says, "Lord, God, help me now. Right at this moment. Deliver me from my prison. Help me to see beyond the darkness, to see Your hand. As I am being crushed, remold me. Help me to see You in this. . . ."

Pray that prayer. Turn your trial into trust as you look to God to tenderly use that affliction, that dungeon, that abandonment for His purpose. . . .

In the midst of all this, remember, God has not abandoned you. He has not forgotten you. He never left. He understands the heartache.

Joseph: A Man of Integrity and Forgiveness

All of us can use the right message at the right time. Quite frankly, all of us can use the right message all the time. All of us are in some need of direction for ourselves and those we love. It is that one right message that can make a significant difference in our lives.

My dear friends, Jesus has the right message for YOU. His message to you is that of redemption. His message to you is that of eternal life. His message to you is that of repentance. His message to you is that of holiness. His message to you is that of righteousness. He has just the right message for you for every single situation that you are faced with.

No matter what it is your life looks like right now, make sure to position yourself so that you can hear the right message He has for you. If you happen to find yourself in a very dark situation right now, now is the time to seek God's face, get down on your knees, and talk to God in prayer to seek the answers you need. God has an amazing way of providing us the right message in our moments of deepest need. All we have to do is listen to His voice when He speaks to you. The Bible is God's spoken Word to you. In the Bible, you will always find the right message for your present situation. Jesus, the Living Word, is the right message that we must share with the entire world. God has provided us the resources to make this possible. In this day and age, we have the internet at our disposal to share just the right message with everyone that is in desperate need of that right message in their lives. Are you willing to use whatever God provides you to send out the right message to someone in need? My hope and prayer is that your answer to that question is the following: YES!

Thank you so much for reading this far my friends! May God continue to bless you and keep you in Jesus' mighty name! JESUS LOVES YOU AND SO DO I!!!!. . . . :-).
