Salt And Light!

You are the salt of the earth. . . .You are the light of the world. (Matt. 5:13-15)

God never promised us a rose garden. He came up front with us and admitted that the arena of this world is not a "friend of grace to help us on to God." Nevertheless, strange as it may seem, He went on to tell a handful of Palestinian peasants (and all godly servants in every generation) that their influence would be nothing short of remarkable. They would be "the salt of the earth" and the would be "the light of the world." And so shall we! So far-reaching would be the influence of servants in society, their presence would be as significant as salt on food and as light on darkness. Neither is loud or externally impressive, but both are essential. Without our influence this old world would soon begin to realize our absence. Even though it may not admit it, society needs both salt and light.

Improving Your Serve

Be the salt. Be the light.

As Christians, we are not only to provide flavor to our lost and dying world, but we are also to provide light to the darkest recesses of the places and people around us. Do you, my fellow reader, want to make a radical change to the world around you? Start by improving YOUR serve! How do you improve your serve? By getting connected with God the Father, God the Son (Jesus), and God the Holy Spirit. By staying connected to the Person Who created you in the first place, you are providing yourself and numerous others the opportunity to make a lasting, eternal impact in the lives of those you serve.

My dear friend, YOU are the salt and light of this world. YOU are the only person who can (and will) influence your family, your workplace, your friends, your community, and your nation. YOU will provide a flavor that is desperately needed in the lives of those around you. YOU will ultimately provide light to those who are still wrapped up in a cloak of darkness. God's Word tells us that we are to be salt and light. Is our obedience in alignment with God's purposes and plan for our lives as salt and light to the deprivation of this world we live in? Can YOU honestly look at yourself in the mirror and say that YOU ARE SALT AND LIGHT? Only YOU can answer those questions, but I strongly encourage you to seek God's face and be watchful of His hand moving on your behalf to enable you to be BOTH salt and light and not just one or the other.Be encourage my dear friend! God has all the tools He needs to make you both salt and light to this world. Are you ready to respond to the call?

Be the salt AND be the light!

Thank you so much for reading this far my friends! May God continue to bless you and keep you in Jesus' mighty name! JESUS LOVES YOU AND SO DO I!!!!. . . . . :-).
