See then that you walk carefully, not as fools, but as wise. (Eph. 5:15)
God tells us not to be foolish, but wise, making the most of our time, taking every opportunity that comes our way and using it wisely.
Before his twentieth birthday, Jonathan Edwards, the brilliant and godly philosopher-theologian who became God's instrument in the Great Awakening revival of the eighteenth century, resolved "Never to lose one moment of time, but to improve it in the most profitable way I possibly can." That is exactly what he did, using well the intellectual gifts God had given him. He entered Yale at thirteen and at seventeen graduated at the head of his class. At twenty-six he was the minister of one of the largest congregations in Massachusetts. . . .
Following the will of God requires wisdom, clear thinking, and, yes, even good old garden-variety common sense.
The Mystery of God's Will
Moments come and go. Some moments are memorable for a number of different reasons. Some good. Some bad. The various moments we experience in life are meant to be taken with a grain of salt. What it boils down to is how we seize the moment.
How do we respond to the moments we have in our lives? We have moments in our lives ranging from embarrassing to the awe-inspiring. Do we respond to that moment with a godly attitude? My dear friends, let there never be one lost moment in your life. Those moments will build character and ultimately, your legacy.
Will those moments make you or break you? Will those moments be shared with friends and family or will they be experienced in isolation, away from everyone, but God? Regardless of how the moment is experienced, see to it that there is not one lost moment. Look at it this way. Moments are meant to be pictures of our lives. How many people actually have photo keepsakes of their childhood? I do. Why is that? Because they remind me of moments that have never been lost. Those are moments that have contributed to who I am today. Treasure ALL the moments God has allowed you to experience my friends! Those moments will shape your life forever!
Thank you so much for reading this far my friends! May God continue to bless you and keep you in Jesus' mighty name! JESUS LOVES YOU AND SO DO I!!!!. . . . :-).
