Praise And Adoration!

Because your lovingkindness is better than life, my lips shall praise you. (Ps. 63:3)

Praise is a deeply significant aspect of our personal worship, and we are remiss if we ignore it. . . . We praise God by expressing words of honor to Him for His character, His name, His will, His Word, His glory, etc.

Husband, when your were dating your wife-to-be, can you remember doing this? You looked her hair . . . and you expressed praise over her hair. You praised her for her beauty, her choice of  perfume and clothing, and her excellent taste. . . . Praise came naturally because that was a genuine, stimulating part of romance. By the way, I hope you haven't stopped praising her! Praise is greatly appreciated by your wife, and likewise by our Lord. . . .

Praise is to flow from within us. Praise is an aspect of prayer---adoration directed to God.

Living Beyond the Daily Grind

In my personal experience, praising God enhances His presence in my life. As I praise Him, I feel all the burdens and concerns I have get lifted away. As we praise and adore God, we give God His rightful place in our lives. We acknowledge His sovereignty, His grace, His mercy, etc.

Adoration is a feeling of profound love and admiration. My dear friend, how profound is your love for God? The profoundness of your love for God is revealed in the intensity of your praises to God. The intensity will range anywhere from utter silence to shouts of praise.

As a result of the intensity of praise and adoration for God, we will be able to express the same level of praise and adoration to everyone that is extremely close to us. And as a result of expressing that same measure of praise and adoration to all of our loved ones, that same exact measure will be poured back into us. For those of you who are parents, when you praise and adore your kids, your kids will experience nothing but positive emotions. Those positive emotions become building blocks to developing wholesome teenagers and adults when they get older.

My dear friend, are you a recipient of excellent praise and adoration? I hope and pray that that is the case. Praise and adoration is an essential part of our daily lives. It is praise and adoration that contributes (in most part) to a healthy society and community. I say in most part because we have certain segments of our society that praise and adore people and things that are contrary to Who God is. Let us make sure that our praise and adoration are aimed at God for He is the only One that is worthy of all our praise and adoration.

Thank you so much for reading this far my friends! May God continue to bless you and keep you in Jesus' mighty name! JESUS LOVES YOU AND SO DO I!!!!. . . . :-).
