Mother's Indelible Impression!

Your father and your mother shall be glad, and she that bore you shall rejoice. (Prov. 23:25)

There is no more influential or powerful role on earth than a mother's. Significant as political, military, education, or religious public figures may be, none can compare to the impact made by mothers. Their words are never fully forgotten, their touch leaves an indelible impression, and the memory of their presence lasts a lifetime. . . .

Abraham Lincoln was right: "No one is poor who had a godly mother." Instead of camping on the negatives and emphasizing how far many mothers have drifted from this magnificent calling to shape the future of our country, I want to throw out a positive challenge. Ladies, this is your hour . . . your distinct opportunity to soar! A harmonious marital partnership and a solid, unselfish commitment to motherhood have never been of greater importance to you or, for that matter, to our nation. Talk about a challenge worth your effort! In spite of what you may have heard, this role is the most dignified, the most influential, and the most rewarding in all the world.

Growing Wise in Family Life

In my honest opinion, mothers are God's gift to mankind. Most mothers, whether they be Christian or non-Christian, are wonderful mothers. In my short lifetime, I have heard of all kinds of stories in regards to mothers doing deeds ranging from the most wonderful to the most horrific. The wonderful deeds far outweigh the horrific ones.

My mother constantly reminds me of the good that this world has to offer. My mother is a godly woman. Is my mom perfect? Far from it. It wasn't long ago that my mom had open-heart surgery. In spite of having a major surgical procedure done, it didn't take long for her to make strides into resuming her life more normally. My mom has cast an indelible impression upon my life with her strength, her tenacity, and her willingness to seek out the greater good in all of the people that are close to her.

My dear friends, what kind of an impression has your mother made upon your life? Is it a godly impression? Or is it an impression that runs contrary to God's character?  Our mothers have a way of influencing people and as a result whole nations unlike anyone else that we know. Let us pray that our mothers will be godly mothers and women of godly influence that are enabled by the power of the Holy Spirit to help transform the lives around them from non-believing family members and friends to our church leaders and people in political power. Women who will cast an indelible impression upon everyone they come across.

Thank you so much for reading this far my friends! May God continue to bless you and keep you in Jesus' mighty name! JESUS LOVES YOU AND SO DO I!!!!. . . . :-).
