A Positive Perspective!

Therefore I perceive that there is nothing better, than that a man should rejoice in his own works; for that is his lot. (Eccl. 3:22)

We usually can do very little to change our lot. We can only change our reaction to our lot. We cannot change our past, for example. I don't care how brilliant we are, our past stands in concrete. We cannot erase it. But we can learn today to see our past from God's perspective, and use the disadvantages of yesterday in our life---today and forever.

You and I constantly bump up against people submerged in self-pity. They are hopelessly lost in the swamp of life. And all they can tell you is how wrong this was, or how unfair she was, or how someone's promise was broken, or how that man walked away and left "me and the kids," or that guy broke up a partnership and "took me to the cleaners," and on and on and on.

But Solomon says, in effect, "I suggest to you that there's nothing better than that you look for an advantage and the dwell on it. Make that your life's message. Who knows what impact it will have?"

Living on the Ragged Edge

How our lives turn out is largely dependent upon having the proper perspective. What kind of perspective are we supposed to have?  Even though there are many people out there that advocate the power of positive thinking and that's perfectly fine and encouraged, but I honestly think that we can't rest our laurels on just positive thinking.

As Christians, what should dominate our perspective is God's perspective. God knows so much more than we will ever know. Why is it so hard for us to gain His perspective on the daily events that happen in our lives? The reason for that is because we are hearing too much of the world's noise and not tuned in to God's whispering voice.

My dear friends, I strongly encourage all of you to ask God for a spirit of discernment. Ask God to grant you the wisdom and the discernment to know the difference between God's voice and the enemy's voice. The overall quality of your present life and future life is dependent upon you being able to gain the proper perspective. The perspective we all want (and need) to have is God's perspective. It is God's perspective that will provide us the positive perspective we need in life that will further reinforce our hope, faith, and trust in Him and in those He places around us. Be encouraged!

Thank you so much for reading this far my friends! May God continue to bless you and keep you as you gain a positive perspective about the circumstances in your life! JESUS LOVES YOU AND SO DO I!!!!. . . . :-).
