Sensitive Hearts!

For godly sorrow works repentance to salvation not to be regretted. (2 Cor. 7:10)

Can you name people today who seem to listen carefully to God---people whose hearts are especially sensitive to the Holy Spirit? I can almost guarantee that those men and women who know what it is to be broken and bruised. They have the scars to prove it.

Perhaps as you read these words  you bear the marks of a carnal week, day after day in which you've gone your own way and grieved the Spirit of God. And now you come to these pages with desperation to change in your heart---to learn from God and renew your fellowship with Him. Do you realize what's happened? Your failure has given you a sensitive, teachable spirit. It has broken the pride barrier in your life. It is what Paul called a "godly sorrow" (2 Cor. 7:10).

Moses: A Man of Selfless Dedication

I must admit friends, I have run into more insensitive hearts than sensitive ones, even among those who claim to be Christian. In a conversation that I had with my brother-in-law, we has a lengthy conversation about the fallen state of the world we live in. We live in a world that is buried under the burden of sin. As a result of the weight of sin, the lives of so many people have become more and more insensitive and calloused.

Anybody who watches the news, read a newspaper, of find articles online will notice that there are far more negative than positive news.  To be honest, that is true. There is more negativity in daily news than ever before. The continuous breakdown of our civilization is a result of the sin in the lives of those with insensitive hearts. Sin, when left unchecked, will create an insensitive and calloused heart. My dear friends, I strongly encourage you to move against the grain of the sinful society we live in and ask God to help us develop sensitive hearts. Sensitive hearts that will move with compassion, grace, love, and mercy. Sensitive hearts that will only strengthen with every passing trial and challenge that comes into our lives. Sensitive hearts that will be motivated in the Holy Spirit to make a difference, no matter how insignificant it may be in the lives of those that are hurting and seeking answers to the trials and challenges in their lives. Let us each give someone a small hint of heaven in their lives. Wow! Praise God! Our God is indeed Faithful and True my friends!

Thank you so much for reading this far my friends! May God continue to bless you and keep you in Jesus' mighty name! JESUS LOVES YOU AND SO DO I!!!!. . . . :-).
