An Unshakable Foundation!

Though a host should encamp against me, my heart shall not fear; . . . in this will I be confident. (Psalm 27:3)

The Hebrew term used by David [in this Psalm] and translated "confident" does not mean self-reliant nor brave, humanly speaking. In Hebrew it means "to trust, to be secure, to have assurance." Its Arabic counterpart is picturesque: "to throw oneself down upon one's face, to lie upon the ground." The point here is that the source of David's confidence and stability was not his own strength---but God. His Lord was his only foundation for rock-like stability. What an unshakable foundation!

When pressure mounts, when a groundswell of fear invites panic, to whom do you turn?

Living Beyond the Daily Grind

There is a hope that does not disappoint, a faith that never fails. That kind of faith is built on the Rock, Jesus Christ. There is no other foundation that is worth building on (1 Cor. 3:11). If what you have trusted in has moved away from you, if your faith is shaken or has faded, perhaps your beliefs weren't really anchored to Jesus Christ. He is our foundation stone. He is the basis for everything we are, everything we do, and most importantly, the wonderful and glorious future He has for us. Only when we give ourselves to Him, fully entrust ourselves to Him, do we really begin to be what He has made us to be.

My dear friends, are you standing on the unshakable foundation named Jesus Christ? In these tumultuous times we live in, there is no other place we would want to place our livelihood than on the person of Jesus Christ. To place your livelihood on anything and/or anyone else other than Jesus is a recipe for disaster.

Thank you so much for reading this far my friends! May God continue to bless you and keep you in Jesus' mighty name! JESUS LOVES YOU AND SO DO I!!!!. . . . :-).
