Let God Build Your House!

Unless the LORD builds the house, they labor in vain that build it. (Psalm 127:1)

Here's the idea. During those all-important early months and years of  marriage, make sure that the Lord your God is the heart and center of your family! If He is not, the whole experience is a study of futility---a wasted, empty, counterproductive effort. It will all be in vain. He doesn't have in mind a home that hangs a lot of religious mottos on the walls or a couple that simply goes to church regularly or offers up a quick prayer before meals or places a big Bible on the living room coffee table. No, the essential ingredient is "the Lord."

A family gets started on the right foot when Jesus Christ is in each life (husband and wife are both born again), and when the lengthening shadow of His Lordship pervades that relationship. When a couple makes Christ a vital part of their life, in the terms of the psalm, that's when "the Lord builds the house."

Strengthening Your Grip

"As for me and my house, we shall serve the Lord."

This has to be one of the most widely used phrases among Christians especially as it pertains to our homes. I have been in homes in which the enemy of our souls has run rampantly and chaos erupting as a result of not making Jesus the Lord of our homes. I have also been in homes in which God's presence and righteousness has reigned supreme and as a result peace and order became the outcome and norm.

How do we let God build our homes? By going to the Blueprint (Bible) and following the guidelines that He has provided for us to live by and maintain. My hope and prayer is to see to it that God is the Chief Architect of my future home in which His righteousness will prevail and everyone that comes to visit will notice His presence and gain a fresh perspective of knowing what it is like to have God be the Builder of our homes.

So friends, are you letting God be the Builder of your house? Are the people who come over to your house have an entirely fresh and inspirational story to tell others when they leave your house? My dear friends, only we can determine how our homes will be. Who's going to be the one to build your house? Satan or God? The choice is yours!

Thank you so much for reading this far my friends! May God continue to bless you and keep you in Jesus' mighty name! JESUS LOVES YOU AND SO DO I!!!!. . . . :-).
