True Excellence!

No man can serve two masters. (Matt. 6:24)

If we hope to demonstrate the level of excellence modeled by Jesus Christ, then we'll have to come to terms with the kingdom we are going to serve: the eternal kingdom our Lord told us to seek (Matt. 6:33) or the temporal kingdom of today. . . .

Generally speaking, God's kingdom is a synonym for God's rule. Those who choose to live in His kingdom (though still very much alive on Planet Earth) choose to live under His authority.

For centuries God has been at work reestablishing His rulership. Jesus' words describe the problem: "No one can serve two masters; for either he will hate the one and love the other, or he will hold to the one and despise the other" (Matt. 6:24).

The kingdom is the invisible realm where God rules as supreme authority. . . . Only by letting Him reign in your life can you experience true excellence.

Living Above the Level of Mediocrity

This is absolutely true!

True excellence can only be fulfilled when we have surrendered our lives over to Him. We can't just simply give God a part of ourselves. No. We must give Him ALL of ourselves. Sacrifice, mistakes, and enormous amounts of effort do play a role in our Christian walk, but those things in and of themselves won't make it. When it's all said and done, God will demand and is entitled to our obedience. OBEDIENCE IS GREATER THAN SACRIFICE

True excellence in our Christian walk may indeed reflect some of the virtues of true excellence from a humanistic standpoint, but also goes against the grain of our human nature. Jesus personified true excellence because He was rooted in humility and has always placed His Father's will above His own. My dear friends, as Christians (representatives of Christ), we must also do the same.

True excellence in Christ will be difficult. Your training ground in achieving this form of excellence is all around you. It is at home. At work. At school. At church. Even in the streets. We are at war with the enemy, the world, and even with ourselves. Ask God to help you in not acquiring the gifts of the Spirit, but to exercise them in such a way that you will become a specialized soldier of God.

Are you ready to join the "special forces" of God's army? Are you ready to be obedient to the point of death to achieve true excellence in Christ? Our REAL Commander-in-Chief, Jesus Christ has already set the standard for us and has given us His written instructions in the B.I.B.L.E.

Remember friends. . . . B.I.B.L.E. is an acronym for Basic Instructions Before Leaving Earth.

Thank God for the Bible and Jesus' soon return! We will be leaving this planet one day. Will you be excellent unto our Lord, Savior, and Redeemer? Hallelujah and praise God!!!!!

Thank you so much for reading this far my friends! May God continue to bless you and keep you in Jesus' mighty name! JESUS LOVES YOU AND SO DO I!!!!. . . . :-).
