Time Well Spent!

Ointment and perfume rejoice the heart: so does the sweetness of a man's friend by hearty counsel. (Prov. 27:9)

How valuable to you are relationships? If you  have trouble answering that, I'll help you decide. Stop and think back over the past month or two. How much of your leisure time have you spent developing and enjoying relationships?

Jesus, God's Son, certainly considered the relationship He had with His disciples worth His time. They spent literally hours together. They ate together and wept together, and I'm sure they must have laughed together as well. Being God, He really didn't "need" those men. He certainly did not need the hassle they created on occasion. But He loved those twelve men. He believed in them. . . .

Whatever leisure time we are able to invest in relationships is time well spent. And when we do, let's keep in mind we are "imitating God," for His Son certainly did.

Strengthening Your Grip

Ultimately, time spent in God's presence is time well spent. God's presence can also be experienced with certain family and friends that are firmly grounded in Jesus Christ. Is it also possible to experience a good time with non-believing family and friends until anything is encouraged that will compromise who we are in Christ.

With that said, anytime spent around people can be time well spent under spent under the right conditions and circumstances. Time well spent can also be spent in solitude. To be very honest, this is one of my most favorite times. Times of solitude provides me the opportunity to spend some major quiet time with God and start my day off on the right note and in tune with whatever it is the Holy Spirit is preparing me for throughout the day.

Many examples can be made out of how we spend our time well. In general, anything and anyone that will challenge us, motivate us, and inspire us will be time well spent. Something as simple and basic as the posts you read from this blog can potentially become time well spent. My dear friends, I encourage all of you to make the best of the day that God has given you to the maximum so that you can know without a shadow of a doubt that the time spent on the day was time well spent.

Thank you so much for reading this far my friends! May God continue to bless you and keep you in Jesus' precious name! JESUS LOVES YOU AND SO DO I!!!!. . . . :-).
