Everybody "Act Medium"!

We love him, because he first loved us. (1 John 4:19)

The children worked long and hard on their little cardboard shack. It was to be a special spot---a clubhouse, where they could meet together, play, and have fun. Since a clubhouse has to have rules, they came up with three:

  • Nobody act big.
  • Nobody act small.
  • Everybody act medium.
Not bad theology!

In different words, God says the very same thing: "Let each of you regard one another as more important than himself" (Phil. 2:3).

Just "act medium." Believable. Honest, human, thoughtful, and down-to-earth.

Day by Day with Charles Swindoll

"Act medium."

This has to be by far the "newest" phrase I have ever heard and one that also makes sense (sort of).

In light of what Charles Swindoll wrote about "act medium", "act medium" implies that we act in a fair and balanced manner. "Act medium" encourages us to be as transparent and honest with the people in our lives regardless of the way we meet them. In this day and age of social media, it is very difficult to find anyone who will "act medium".

My dear friends, the above devotional from Bro. Charles Swindoll is straight and to the point when it encourages us to follow the three "clubhouse" rules. Our "clubhouse" will take on many different forms. Our "clubhouse" will be our homes, our workplace, our churches, the communities we live in, even the world at large. Regardless of how you interact with people, whether it be online or offline, always keep in mind to "act medium". Let this short phrase become your life motto from this day forward.

Thank you so much for reading this far my friends! May God continue to bless you and keep you in Jesus' mighty name! JESUS LOVES YOU AND SO DO I!!!!. . . . :-).
