Unity And Humility!

Behold, how good and how pleasant it is for brethren to dwell together in unity! (Psalms 133:1)

Do you realize how closely unity and humility are tied together? One breeds the other; neither can exist without the other. They're like Siamese twins, perpetually connected. Personally, I have seen numerous occasions when pride won out (even though it was never called that) and harmony faded away . . . and I mean fast. . . .

Contrary to the stuff you might read today, the words fight and quarrel, are not apt descriptions of the way to get ahead. They won't ultimately glorify God. Friends are made not and by refusing to quarrel.

Commit yourself to freeing others so they can grow and discover on their own. For a change, as much as possible, walk away from an argument rather than inviting one. Become more of a peacemaker.

Dropping Your Guard

I hate to be the bearer of bad news, but I will have to keep it real for the sake of this post. I have now been faithfully serving the Lord for what has been now over 23 years (and still counting). To be honest, I have only run into a handful of people throughout my Christian walk that personify both unity and humility simultaneously. I have either run into people that are either for unity or humility.

Some time last year, I had posted a series on Humility. What that series taught me that it is indeed possible to express unity and humility at the same time. Jesus did it with His disciples. Why is it so hard for us to exemplify that model in today's Christianity? Christians today are divided on so many different fronts. We are divided in everything from the ecclesiastical to politics. And that's only to name a few. I have even run into an article at Charisma Magazine that actually labels Christians as "liberal" in contrast to biblical. Here's the link below!

Right Here!

Granted. On the surface, it brings up Obama and his stand on Christianity, but what is revealed in the article as far as what I got to get out of it is an even larger and more pressing concern that what Mr. Obama's opinion on Christianity. To be rather honest, the idea that in this country that has been built on BIBLICAL principles has all of a sudden turned a lot of biblical Christians into liberal "Christians". Then we wonder why so many of us are divided instead of unified and prideful instead of humbled. My dear friends from this country and every other country that is represented on Christian Living, we need to really step up to the plate and start expressing BOTH unity and humility simultaneously to totally revolutionize and transform the lives of every single soul that comes into our lives. Amen? Always remember...God is Faithful and True! Ask Him right now to promote unity and nurture the spirit of humility in YOUR life today!

Thank you so much for reading this far friends! May God continue to bless you and keep you all in Jesus' mighty name! JESUS LOVES YOU AND SO DO I!!!...:-)
