Seek Righteousness!

But seek you first the kingdom of God, and his righteousness; and all these things shall be added unto you. (Matt.6:33)

Life is a lot like a coin; you can spend it any way you wish, but you can spend it only once. Choosing one thing over all the rest throughout life is a difficult thing to do. This is especially true when the choices are so many and the possibilities are so close at hand.

To be completely truthful with you, however, we aren't left with numerous possibilities. Jesus Himself gave us the top priority: "Seek first His kingdom and His righteousness." . . .

If I am to seek first in my life God's kingdom and God's righteousness, then whatever else I do ought to relate to that goal: where I work, with whom I spend my time, the one I marry, or the decision to remain single. Every decision I make ought to be filtered through the Matthew 6:33 filter.

Living Above the Level of Mediocrity

Seeking God's righteousness is not a very easy thing to do. Right? Seeking His righteousness can often be a very difficult thing to do but can be done. With God's help of course. In the flesh, seeking God's righteousness would be practically impossible because as sinners saved by grace we are prone to selfishness and self-centeredness among many other human (fleshly) tendencies.

So friends, we have a choice to make. We can either filter all our decisions through Matthew 6:33 or. . . we can default to our human nature and create our own self-righteousness nature. Granted, our natural tendency is to want to take matters into our own hands, especially when something goes wrong. Is that the way we really want to go? Do we really want to be self-righteous and deny God His rightful place in our lives? I'm confident in the Lord that the answer to those questions and many more will be a resounding. . . NO

Filtering our lives through Matthew 6:33 is part of Christian living. Isn't it? Matthew 6:33 is the reason why I created this blog. On this path of godly wisdom, it is God's righteousness I seek. My hope and prayer is that you will continue to walk with me on this path of godly wisdom. Matthew 6:33 is just one of many pieces of treasure that can be found in the Bible. All you have to do is SEEK IT. The Bible tells us to seek and we shall find. Seek God's righteousness and He shall add everything you need! Seek His righteousness...GENUINELY! Amen and amen!

Thank you so much for reading this far my friends! May God continue to bless you and keep you in Jesus' precious name! JESUS LOVES YOU AND SO DO I!!!...:-)
