Hope Is More Than Dreaming!

The way of the LORD is strength to the upright: but destruction shall be to the workers of iniquity. The righteous shall never be removed: but the wicked shall not inhabit the land. (Prov. 10:29-30)

We toss around words like faith and love all the time. And most of us can describe both with minimal difficulty. But hope? What in the world is it? And is it really that essential?

Webster defines hope, "to desire with expectation of fulfillment." To hope is to anticipate. It is more than dreaming, however. It is possessing within ourselves an expectation that someday there will be the fulfillment of that desire. It will become a reality. Hope always looks to the future, it's always on tiptoes. It keeps us going. It makes a dismal today bearable because it promises a brighter tomorrow. Without hope, something inside all of us dies. . . .

We can live several weeks without food, days without water, and only minutes without oxygen, but without hope---forget it.

Dropping Your Guard

All this talk about about faith, hope, and love can appear to be routine and monotonous sometimes. In spite of what I had just said, talking about these three topics are a major necessity in our lives. As important as it is to have faith (and I have faith in my God). As important as it is to be able to love God and love one another (and I honor and do those things). This post has made me realize the extreme importance of having hope

In my mind, hope is the catalyst that enables me to have (and maintain) my faith and love for God during the darkest of times in my life. Because of hope, God's presence in my life has driven me to draw closer to Him and develop a more intimate relationship with Him. As a result of placing my hope in God's hands, certain areas of my life have been immensely impacted in the most amazing way possible! Two areas of my life (my health and finances) are turning around miraculously as of the writing of this post. Hope has given me the reason to believe that my life will turn around for not only my own good, but to God's glory and the blessing of those that God continues to bring into my life. Be encouraged friends! In Christ, and Christ alone, there is hope! Yes, there goes that word hope again! I emphasized that word so much because in today's world where so much chaos is breaking out all around the world and maybe on our own backyards. We desperately need that word more than any other word! Think long and hard my friends!

Thank you so much for reading this far my dear friends! May God continue to bless you and keep you in Jesus' precious name! JESUS LOVES YOU AND SO DO I!!!...:-)
