Alone With God!

For thus says the Lord GOD, the Holy One of Israel; In returning and rest shall you be saved; in quietness and in confidence shall be your strength: (Isaiah 30:15)

Some of the most profound ministries of the Spirit of God are not public or loud or large. Sometimes His most meaningful touch on our lives comes when we are alone.

I urge you to include in your schedule time to be alone with God. . . . You do have places where you can get away for a long walk, don't you? I hope it's in a wooded area. The gentle breeze blowing through the forest is therapeutic. Sometimes just being alone out in God's marvelous creation is all that's needed for the scales to be removed from your eyes and for you to silence the harassment and the noise of your day and begin to hear from God.

Flying Closer to the Flame

I often hear that time spent alone with God is time well spent and this absolutely true! Having that time alone with God allows us to be able to better listen to Him during our time of prayer. The most popular parts of the day when it comes to being alone with God is at the start of your day (morning) and the end of your day (evening).

Given the fact that I'm a proven morning person, the easiest part of the day for me to have that one on one alone with God is in the morning. Have I always succeeded at having that time alone with God in the morning? Not always. Admittedly so, I have "dropped the ball" numerous times for various reasons ranging from sickness to outright laziness. The most beautiful part of our time alone with God is that in spite of our imperfections and shortcomings, God is always there to comfort us and to assure us that everything will be okay. God is indeed gracious and merciful to us friends! All we need to do is take the time to not only listen to Him, but to get to know Him more intimately and He will be more than happy to reveal to you His heart for you and all of your loved ones.

Thank you so much for reading this far my friends! May God continue to bless you and keep you as you make a more concerted effort to spend as much "quiet time" alone with God as possible! JESUS LOVES YOU AND SO DO I!!!...:-)
