Vision!

And the LORD answered me, and said, Write the vision, and make it plain upon tables, so he may run that reads it. (Habakkuk 2:2)

Have any of you ever had an experience where you were in the middle of doing something and then a passing thought just "popped up" in your mind? I'm quite confident that this happens to us far more often than we think.  Visions have a way of happening at various times of the day under various kinds of circumstances.

There's a great deal that we still have yet to learn about visions. For the sake of this post, I simply want to elaborate a little bit on this subject. Just like dreams, the purpose of visions is to bring some type of revelation that may (or may not) provide us with some clarity to our present (or future) reality.

There was a time when I was younger that I used to journal my experiences. There would also be moments that I would read the Bible and the Holy Spirit may "quicken" me in the form of a vision. Visions in this particular manner happen far less frequently for me. I cannot speak for everyone on this matter since God operates differently in all of His children.

I honestly believe that what we all have in common is that when we do have a vision, it's either going to be pleasant (or not so pleasant). Let's hope and pray that it's not the latter. Regardless of the type of vision we have, there's a distinct purpose and plan that God has for all of us. The vast majority of the visions we have will not make any sense to us at first and that's totally okay.

The best suggestion I can make and follow faithfully myself when a vision is experienced is to first and foremost consult the Bible so we can get a better understanding of the role of visions in light of God's Word. Spend quality time with God Himself in prayer. Last, but not least, consult with your innermost circle of family and friends that will be sensitive in the Holy Spirit. You will never know if God will use someone as His mouthpiece.

As with any other subject matter, this subject can be elaborated on in even greater depth. I'm also confident that the are plenty of individuals that are far more qualified on this subject and many others than I am. This is one of my great joys about blogging, and Christian blogging in particular.

QUESTION: What kind of vision does God have for your life?

Thank you very much for reading this far my friends! My hope and prayer for all of you is that whatever vision God has blessed you with, not only will you be benefited, but so will the people that God has placed into your life. May God continue to bless you and keep you in Jesus' precious name! Jesus loves you and so do I!!!...:-)

Dreams!

And he dreamed, and behold a ladder set up on the earth, and the top of it reached to heaven: and behold the angels of God ascending and descending on it.  (Gen. 28:12)

Martin Luther King once quoted "I have a dream."

All of us at one time on our lives or another have had a dream just like Dr. King. Ever since I was a little child I have had many dreams. Some of those dreams have since evaporated into the sky.

When I look back at my upbringing, the dreams never really "evaporated into the sky". They just simply evolved over the course of time. As a little child, my dreams ranged everything from being a superhero to conquering the world. As an adolescent/teenager, my dreams became more career-oriented. Now, as an adult, I have slowly, but surely begun the process of fulfilling those dreams.

You're probably thinking. How's Micky able to accomplish his child/teenage dreams as an adult? That is a very good question if it just so happens to be running through your mind right now. I will openly admit that there have been times in my life where I was more than ready to give up on those dreams. As an adult, many of us have the tendency to want to give up those dreams when our circumstances are so overwhelming that they end up clouding our better judgement and faith that our particular dream will be fulfilled.

This is when God comes in.

There will be moments when God will intervene in our lives by planting seeds of dreams into our our minds and hearts. In my experience, this most likely explains why I never lose faith that God will achieve the "impossible" in my life.  In my last post, I spoke about inspiration. God is the One that continuously inspires me to be the very best that I can be as I make every effort to advance His kingdom here on earth to win souls for Christ.  Guess what friends. My childhood/teenage dream has (to a certain degree) been fulfilled. Since I have started blogging Christian Living in September of 2012, I have had the amazing honor and privilege to serve God and the entire world through these means. As a result, I have essentially "conquered the world" on behalf of my Lord and Savior Jesus Christ.

What is your dream? Are your dreams centered on God's plan for your life? Is your dream going to benefit those around you with eternity in mind?

Thank you very much for reading, following, and sharing Christian Living with all your friends and loved ones. May God continue to bless you and keep you in Jesus' mighty name my friends! JESUS LOVES YOU AND SO DO I!!!...:-)

ENJOY!!!...:-D

Inspiration!

The spirit of the Lord GOD is upon me; because the LORD has anointed me to preach good tidings unto the meek; he has sent me to bind up the brokenhearted, to proclaim liberty to the captives, and the opening of the prison to them that are bound; To proclaim the acceptable year of the LORD, and the day of vengeance of our God; to comfort all that mourn; (Is. 61:1-2)

Inspiration can come to us in so many different ways. Inspiration can come to us when we read a book, when we take a walk, when we sit in front of our TV sets, even when we read (or write) Christian Living. Yeah, I had to throw that one in there...;-D. More often than not, we all need a healthy dose of inspiration.

How and where we find that inspiration is only part of the key. The other part is WHO we are getting our inspiration from. The how and where part of our inspiration can come to us pretty quickly from time to time. The Who part is the part that usually takes the most time because we can  inadvertently be easily distracted with our daily affairs and the people that surround us. No one is at fault here. That just so happens to be the way life goes. Right?

The above picture speaks volumes in regards to the most effective way to find the inspiration we all need from time to time. Time spent in solitude, especially in the presence of God, is the most effective way to not only find peace and quiet from the daily grind of our lives, but more importantly, inspiration to help us keep moving forward with the agenda God has in mind for us. As Christians, God MUST be the WHO in regards to who we get our inspiration from.

So friend. How, where, and who do you get your inspiration from?

I want to thank you friends for blessing me with the opportunity to be able to bring INSPIRATION into your lives on an almost daily basis. As God continues to inspire me and challenge me to be the best Christian writer I can be, my commitment to Him and to all of you is to bring the most inspirational, challenging, and motivational content to God's glory and to the benefit of every single one of you.

Thanks again my amazing friends! May God continue to bless you and keep you in everything you do in His name! Jesus loves you and so do I!!!...:-)

Creation!

You are worthy, O Lord, to receive glory and honor and power: for you have created all things, and for your pleasure they are and were created. (Rev.4:11)

When you wake up in the morning, what do you see in the mirror?

I'm a HUGE fan of House Hunters, House Hunters International, and various programs from The Travel Channel, Discovery Channel, and Animal Planet. I'm pointing this out to all of you because I find a great deal of joy in seeing God's creation in all those programs. The joy in God's creation can be seen in everything from seeing the happiness on the faces of those people when they relocate to a foreign country or another house in their own neighborhood.

The joy in God's creation can also be seen when discovering uncharted territory or admiring the architecture of some of the most amazing buildings throughout Europe. The first time I fell upon the Discovery Channel, I ran into an amazing tv program called Storm Chasers. This program revealed a totally different side to God's creation.

This program captivated me like very few shows ever have. My fascination with storms have always been there. Before this program, I was always aware of hurricanes and the extreme winters we always had. I even read about tornadoes in books. Being the visual type, my mind was captivated and fascinated when I first saw how a tornado was formed. It was always a joy to see a large tornado roaming through the open fields of Oklahoma or Kansas.

I will openly admit that there were moments when the joy of God's creation would suddenly disappear when I all of sudden see a tornado barreling down on someone's home, a huge typhoon carves a path of destruction through someone's country, or an avalanche rolling downhill as people attempt to flee from getting buried. What I'm trying to say is that there are moments of both joy and tragedy in God's creation.

For every non-lethal animal that is out there, there are also lethal ones. God, in His total sovereignty was able to bring a very delicate balance to His creation. My dear friends, when we take a real close look at God's creation, we will see the many facets of God's character in them. Don't you agree? Everything we see around us will reveal God's love (and occasional wrath) in it. Because of God's great love and mercy for all of us, we're able to experience and enjoy His creation in large volumes during our time on this planet.

Just imagine what His ULTIMATE creation, Heaven, will be like. there are no words that can even begin to express what that will be like. Just for perspective, the most beautiful places on this planet will never be able to compare to what the "lowliest" part of heaven will be like.

What has God's creation revealed to you about His personality and character?

Thank you very much for reading this post my friends! May God continue to bless you and keep you in Jesus' precious name! JESUS LOVES YOU AND SO DO I!!!...:-)

ENJOY!!!!...:-D

Redemption!

In whom we have redemption through his blood, the forgiveness of sins, according to the riches of his grace; (Ephesians 1:7)

One of my favorite movies of all time is called The Shawshank Redemption. If you haven't seen or heard of the movie before, no worries. Either way, I strongly encourage all of you to find the movie and watch it. You won't be disappointed. The picture above is actually a scene from the movie.

Many of us can relate to the man on that picture. When God's grace, mercy, and love is "showered" upon us, the redemption that results from such an encounter is so refreshing. I guess redemption can be said that it's like rain that comes down upon us on a hot and humid afternoon.

Redemption plays the role of many second chances in our lives. Redemption provides further clarity to what we go through in life as it provides us with a new perspective on a situation that required the redemption to happen in the first place. Redemption is also very rewarding as well given the fact that when we share that redemption with others, they will also be inspired with the hope of redemption and make an impact in the lives of others as well.

More often than not, before we can experience redemption, there is some type of personal sacrifice that is required. The type of personal sacrifice will vary from person to person. As Christians, we will be totally dependent upon God and His character. Instead of approaching God from a religious and intellectual perspective, it's important that we approach God with the same confidence and trust that we would have for our closest friends and family members.

When we approach God from this perspective, redemption not only becomes possible, but in turn becomes very refreshing and rewarding. God has already been knocking on the door of your heart, soul, and mind long before you were even brought into this world. God cares about the smallest details of your life. He longs to be able to intervene into your life and bring redemption to that area of your life that so desperately needs to be changed.

What area(s) of your life do you need to see redemption in?

Thank you so much for reading this post as I know without a shadow of a doubt that God will redeem your life in such a miraculous way. My dear friends, always be assured that I will always be praying for you as I know you are doing the same for me as we all need certain areas of our lives to be redeemed for our own greater good and the greater good of of everyone that God has and will place in our lives.

May God continue to bless you and keep you all in Jesus' precious name!  Jesus loves you and so do I!!!!!....:-). ENJOY!!!...:-D

Imagination!

Casting down arguments, and every high thing that exalts itself against the knowledge of God, and bringing into captivity every thought to the obedience of Christ; (2 Cor. 10:5)

What is your imagination like?

My imagination is as follows:

1)From an eternal perspective, the ultimate imagination is when I see myself reigning with all of my amazing brothers and sisters-in-Christ alongside Jesus Christ before the throne for all eternity.

2)I also imagine myself winning more and more souls for Christ during the time that is left before Jesus comes back.

3)I imagine myself traveling all around the world for leisure, business (God willing), and ministry.

4)I imagine a time when there will be tens of thousands of people from all around the world that will read and share Christian Living with all of their friends and loved ones.

5) I imagine God literally ministering to every single one of you as you read the words of this post and many other posts from this blog. Amen?

6)I imagine a time will come when certain leaders and laypeople of various fellowships from countries around the world emailing me to share the impact that has been made in their families, churches, and communities. What a joy and experience that will be!...:-)

7)I imagine this blog site playing a key role in doors opening up for me to preach the Gospel of Jesus Christ and testify of His goodness and grace in my life with the international and national audience. (This blog has already played a role in connecting me with certain men of faith and great leadership ability)...to be continued.

8)Because of God's presence in this blog site, I imagine many souls being converted from various religions to Christ as well as the gnostics/non-religious souls.

9)From a personal perspective, I imagine myself continuing to grow and mature in not only my relationship with Christ, but with every single one of you.

10)Because of the amazing amount of writing experience that I have received within this last year, I also imagine the possibility of eventually creating an e-book or a physical book on the subject of leadership one day. (One friend suggested that I think about creating an e-book on the subject of Servant Leadership).

This is only the tip of the iceberg my friends! I have always had a "Joseph spirit" in regards to always attempting to see the big picture in any endeavor that God continues to prepare me for to this very day. On that note, I simply want to thank God for providing the resources and the anointing to make this happen. I also want to thank all of you for faithfully following Christian Living from all of your electronic devices. My dear friends, this whole project has very little to do with me and has EVERYTHING to do with Jesus.

This particular post was done on the last minute as I want to remain as faithful as possible providing you anointed content every two days. To God be the glory friends! My passion for God, my siblings-in-Christ, and the many lost souls are what motivate my faith and IMAGINATION that God will one day fulfill at the very least, many of the the things mentioned above as God continues to enable me to do so. This beyond knowledge my amazing friends! IMAGINATION EMBRACES THE ENTIRE WORLD! Wow! With Christian Living that has not only become possible, it has become a reality.

So much more to say, so little time. Take a moment out of your day and listen to the song I Can Only Imagine by MercyMe. That song should get your imagination going...;-). Thank you very much for reading this far my friends! May God continue to bless you and keep you in Jesus' precious name! Jesus loves you and so do I!!!...:-). ENJOY!!!...:-D.

Test!

And be not conformed to this world: but be transformed by the renewing of your mind, that you may prove what is that good, and acceptable, and perfect, will of God. (Rom. 12:2)

Life in and of itself is a test. Wouldn't you agree? I can't speak for every single country that reads Christian Living, in the United States, we have what's called the Emergency Broadcast System. The purpose of the EBS is to inform the public in advance of any strong or severe storm activity that can potentially affect the area the broadcast in made in. Other countries around the world have similar systems in place for various events ranging from tsunamis, earthquakes, or even avalanches.

Life often works in a similar way where we receive early warnings along the way to inform us in advance that something tragic can happen if we don't pay heed to the warnings around us. God has numerous ways of informing us to protect us from harm. God will intervene directly to protect you from harm as well as use people like you and I to warn our loved ones in advance or right on time.

How will you react when life all of a sudden takes a downward turn? What kind of an impact will it make in your life and in the lives of those around you?

In the same way we must prepare for victory in various areas of our lives, we must also prepare for potential defeat. Potential defeat?! You're probably thinking. What is this guy talking about? As a Christian, there should be no space for negative thinking when we're in Christ. You're right friend! There should never be any space whatsoever for negative thinking. In spite of that, negative things do happen. And how we prepare will make the difference between making us bitter or better, break us or better us, or choosing to be a victim or a victor.

In New Jersey last year, we experienced a weather phenomenon called a "Derecho" and later on that year, Hurricane Sandy. The city I live in, Vineland, was ground zero for both events. In the instance of the Derecho, there was no warning whatsoever. In the instance of Hurricane Sandy, we had plenty of warning and prepared accordingly. I will admit it, I was taken off-guard when the Derecho struck and was stricken with some fear when all I can think about is the worse-case scenario of a potential major tornado that may have hit out area.

Life-shaking situations such as the one about the Derecho will test your resolve and your confidence in the Lord. This goes back to my previous post about trusting the Lord, especially in the midst of difficult and potentially disastrous situation. Little did I know that what we experienced with the Derecho will prepare us for Hurricane Sandy. In spite of the immense size of the hurricane, God had already been teaching us to simply trust and have confidence in that He is the Master of all things, including weather patterns.

God has a way of teaching us invaluable lessons in the midst of our "storms". "Storms" will manifest themselves in so many different ways. Some "storms" may be far more subtle than what I have just described to you in the above experience. All of us have our fair share of stories to tell when it comes to being tested in a certain area. Even Jesus Himself was tested in the form of a temptation from Satan during His fast. The secret to succeeding in any test is by staying connected to the One that already knows the outcome before it even happens, God.

In my experience about being tested, I have learned to simply trust God and heavily depend on Him for the "proper" outcome (whatever that means). Regardless of what happens in your life, ALWAYS trust God and ask Him to help you remain confident in Him. Because of Who God is, I will always walk in victory even when I may have been victimized in a certain situation. There's no greater assurance of knowing that you will be victorious when God is by your side and with you no matter what comes our way.

Thank you so much for reading this far my friends! May God continue to bless you and keep you all in Jesus' mighty name! JESUS LOVES YOU AND SO DO I!!!!...:-)

Trust the Lord!

Trust in the LORD with all your heart; and lean not unto your own understanding. In all your ways acknowledge him, and he shall direct your paths. (Prov. 3:5-6)

Trust.

This word can present unique challenges from time to time. Given the fallen condition of the world we live in, trust is a commodity that is not only easily taken for granted, but when encountering someone with tremendous trustworthiness, trust becomes a treasure that will bond us forever.

In the above illustration, we see a hiker crossing a wooden bridge. Prior to beginning his trek across the bridge, the hiker had to take the time to inspect the bridge to make sure it's structurally sound. Isn't it interesting to note that we are the same way when we meet someone for the very first time? Whether it be online on Facebook or offline in your first face to face encounter with a blind date, we all have the immediate tendency to want to feel (inspect) the person out before moving forward with that person.

Some of us may have had our trust betrayed at one time or another. Those things happen all the time. What it boils down to is how we respond in the course of that betrayal. Action is definitely required and that action will come in different forms. On each side of the bridge in the illustration above, there are a number of things that are required that will enable us and help us as we continue to learn and depend on the Lord and others to not only trust, but also be trustworthy.

In the same way we must trust the bridge to get across the river to move forward in what God has for us, we must also trust in the Lord and one another because Jesus had already demonstrated that to us in His relationship with the 12 disciples. Even then, there was even one in His midst that would eventually go on to betray His trust and confidence. We all know who that is.  This is why I love the Lord so much. His humanity has revealed to all of us that there will be moments we will experience betrayals among so many other things that come with living in a fallen world full of sin.

As we all know that water is an agent for healing us. In the illustration above, we also know that water can also be agent of destruction. We have seen numerous instances where water has destroyed property and taken many lives in the process. Hurricanes (typhoons in some parts), tsunamis, or monsoon weather systems have all been known to create chaos in our lives. The same can be said with all the issues that we deal with in our daily lives.

The issues represented in the body of water illustration above can either make us better and stronger. Or it can make us worse and weaker, maybe bitter. The choice is ours friends. My hope and prayer is that I will continue to build on the trust that God Himself has entrusted to me and share that trust with all of you as we continue to lift up the name of Jesus Christ between today and the day He comes in all of His glory. Amen? With that said, I have a few questions to ask all of you...

Have I gained your trust? Do you absolutely and wholeheartedly trust the Lord with your life and His plan for your life? What is your trust like with those that God has placed around you?

Thanks for reading this post and for faithfully following Christian Living. This particular post speaks as much into my own life as I'm confident in the Lord that it's speaking into yours. May God continue to bless you and keep you all in Jesus' mighty name my awesome friends! Jesus loves you and so do I!!!!...:-)

I Love You!

He that loves not knows not God; for God is love. (1 John 4:8)

Yeah, that's right. I LOVE YOU!!!...:-)

Now, before you come to the conclusion that this post is for the lovey-dovey kind (even though that may apply here as well depend on where you are in life), it's important to note that there are 4 types of love. For the sake of this post, I want to touch on the types of love for further clarification and aim to reduce as much confusion as possible. Bear with me friends! We are all in this together...:-)

I went to Wikipedia to gain an insightful understanding to the different types of love. The insight into the four types of love was taken from a book by C.S. Lewis titled The Four Loves. The four loves are broken down into the following: 1)Affection; 2)Friendship; 3)Eros; 4)Charity.

1)Storge (affection) - Affection (storge, στοργή) is fondness through familiarity ( a brotherly love ), especially between family members or people who have otherwise found themselves together by chance. It is described as the most natural, emotive, and widely diffused of loves: natural in that it is present without coercion; emotive because it is the result of fondness due to familiarity; and most widely diffused because it pays the least attention to those characteristics deemed "valuable" or worthy of love and, as a result, is able to transcend most discriminating factors.
Affection, for Lewis, included both Need-love and Gift-love; he considered it responsible for 9/10th of all solid and lasting human happiness.
Ironically, however, affection's strength is also what makes it vulnerable. Affection has the appearance of being "built-in" or "ready made", says Lewis, and as a result people come to expect it irrespective of their behavior and its natural consequences. Both in its Need and its Gift form, affection then is liable to 'go bad', and to be corrupted by such forces as jealousy, ambivalence and smothering.

2)Phileo (friendship)Phileo (Greek: φιλία) is the love between friends. Friendship is the strong bond existing between people who share common interest or activity. Lewis immediately differentiates Friendship Love from the other Loves. He describes friendship as, "the least biological, organic, instinctive, gregarious and necessary...the least natural of loves" - our species does not need friendship in order to reproduce - but to the classical and medieval worlds the more profound precisely because it is freely chosen.
Lewis explains that true friendships, like the friendship between David and Jonathan in the Bible, are almost a lost art. He expresses a strong distaste for the way modern society ignores friendship. He notes that he cannot remember any poem that celebrated true friendship like that between David and Jonathan, Orestes and Pylades, Roland and Oliver, Amis and Amiles. Lewis goes on to say, "to the Ancients, Friendship seemed the happiest and most fully human of all loves; the crown of life and the school of virtue. The modern world, in comparison, ignores it".
Growing out of Companionship, friendship for Lewis was a deeply Appreciative love, though one which he felt few people in modern society could value at its worth, because so few actually experienced true friendship.
Nevertheless Lewis was not blind to the dangers of friendships, such as its potential for cliqueyness, anti-authoritarianism, and pride.

3)Eros (romance) - Eros (ἔρως) for Lewis was love in the sense of 'being in love' or 'loving' someone, as opposed to the raw sexuality of what he called Venus: the illustration Lewis uses was the distinction between 'wanting a woman' and wanting one particular woman - something that matched his (classical) view of man as a rational animal, a composite both of reasoning angel and instinctual alley-cat.
Eros turns the need-pleasure of Venus into the most appreciative of all pleasures; but nevertheless Lewis warned against the modern tendency for Eros to become a god to people who fully submit themselves to it, a justification for selfishness, even a phallic religion.
After exploring sexual activity and its spiritual significance in both a pagan and a Christian sense, he notes how Eros (or being in love) is in itself an indifferent, neutral force: how "Eros in all his splendour...may urge to evil as well as good". While accepting that Eros can be an extremely profound experience, he does not overlook the dark way it may lead even to the point of suicide pacts or murder, as well as to furious refusals to part, "mercilessly chaining together two mutual tormentors, each raw all over with the poison of hate-in-love".

4)Agape (unconditional love)Charity (agapē, ἀγάπη) is the love that brings forth caring regardless of the circumstance. Lewis recognizes this as the greatest of loves, and sees it as a specifically Christian virtue. The chapter on the subject focuses on the need of subordinating the natural loves - as Lewis puts it, "The natural loves are not self-sufficient" - to the love of God, who is full of charitable love, to prevent what he termed their 'demonic' self-aggrandisement.

All of us in various moments of our lives have experienced these different kinds of love. The type of love this blogs places emphasis on is agape love. Because of God's unconditional love for His children, we, as Christians, reciprocate this kind of love to one another. As a result of agape love, affection and friendship become a byproduct in our churches and communities at large. Eros results when the two individuals involved are intentional in developing a more emotionally intimate relationship with the goal of establishing a life-long relationship.

The majority of our churches have very strong and vibrant singles ministries that place a great deal of emphasis in all four types of love to not only create a safe community for us to belong in, but also grow and thrive in as well as celebrate the victories of others that are able to experience wholesome and healthy relationships that are conducive to their overall spiritual, personal, and professional growth and development. I personally have a great deal of appreciation for this post as we kind of sift through the various kinds of love and be able to differentiate between them between all the noise and clutter of the society we live in today.

Which one of the four areas of love do you feel you lack in? Which one do you feel needs to be developed more in your life?

My dear friends, my hope and prayer for all of you is that the grace of God is evident all four types of love in your life. Don't ever hesitate to put all four types of love in action and on display for the entire world to see. I usually finish all my posts with the line "Jesus loves you and so do I" because God has graced me with His love to share with all of you. Thank you all very much for reading this post as I make every effort to share the love of Jesus Christ with all of you. May God continue to bless you and keep you in Jesus' mighty name friends. JESUS LOVES YOU AND SO DO I!!!...:-).

Hope!

Rejoicing in hope; patient in tribulation; constant in prayer; (Rom. 12:12)

Never. Lose. Hope.

Never forget those words friends!

Keep the faith. Maintain the hope. And always love.

Life is full of twists and turns. Full of ups and downs. The above scripture verse says it all my friends! There will be moments in life when we will experience great victories as well as great defeats. How we handle those moments when they happen will either make or break us.

Reading God's Word and prayer are the key here. There will also be moments where you may have to enter a period of fasting to achieve intimate closeness to God. Whatever it is God happens to lay on your heart to do at the moment, do it while rejoicing in the hope and patient in tribulation.

There are moments when God loves to whisper in our ear and say what it is we so desperately needed to hear at that particular moment. It is in those still, quiet moments where God will remind us of the hope we have in Christ. The hope we have in Christ is that victory is assured. Victory is not totally dependent on what we do. It is totally dependent on what Christ has already did for us.

Personally, it is very comforting to know that I don't have to be everything to everyone. Am I expected to do my part in advancing God's kingdom here on Earth? Most definitely! Every single one of us have a role to play so we can make this world we live in a better place to live, one person at a time. Up to this point, God has graced me with His mercy, favor, love, and grace. As a result, I have a responsibility before the Lord to "spread the wealth".

Every single time I contribute to your lives, I'm laying up treasures in Heaven. I wonder what my mansion will look like when I get to Heaven? My hope and prayer is that I will continue to do what God has chosen me to do with the intent of bringing eternal value into your life and into the lives of others that you influence. It is because of this that I find great satisfaction in what I do. It is also because of this that I have the hope of meeting all of you in Heaven one day.

What are you hoping for friends?

Thank you so much for reading and following Christian Living. Please help me "spread the wealth" as I HOPE and pray that God will continue to do great things this blog. May God continue to bless you and keep you in Jesus' mighty name my friends! Jesus loves you and so do I!!!...:-)

Bold Faith!

And all things, whatsoever you shall ask in prayer, believing, you shall receive. (Matt. 21:22)

I remember hearing so many years ago a song titled "Faith" by George Michael. I openly admit that I don't know a great deal about George Michael and whether or not he was actually Christian, but I couldn't help but be impressed that he makes such a BOLD declaration of his desire to have faith. Regardless of where he stood (or stands), that song became one of the most widely regarded songs I have heard in my generation.

This does bring up a pretty valid question though...

What kind of faith do we live with in our daily lives?

The degree of faith will vary from person to person. While some of us a very optimistic about what God has in store for us. There are still others that are rather pessimistic about what God has in store for them. So many of us have been brought up through diverse circumstances, cultural backgrounds, and beliefs. All of the things shape our faith in God.

In my experience, I am the youngest of four children. My two oldest siblings went on to get married and have families of their own while me and the third sibling continue to live together to this day. Without getting too far into my story, I was born into this world without ever seeing my biological father, my brother (third sibling) was born into this world with Spina Bifida with a projected lifespan of anywhere from 6 months to one year. The two oldest siblings also had their challenges as well during their lifetimes.

As Hispanics, we all grew up with very strong family values and have always bonded with our mom and each other to try to create a safe and wholesome environment for one another. We all grew up in a God-fearing home and have attended Sunday school during the years of our childhood. With the exception of the third (due to his handicap), the rest of us eventually developed the tendency to rebel against God and our family.

In spite of all the difficult circumstances we all endured growing up and into our adult years, our strong family ties, and most importantly, our faith in God has taken us to newer heights in our relationship with each other, but even more importantly, our relationship with God. As a result, of my mom's 4 children, only three of us are currently serving the Lord faithfully. The hand of God has been witnessed in the deliverance of God healing my mom of an incurable neurological condition called Lupus.

My third sibling has lived to turn 40 years old last year after having been told that he was only going to live 6 months to one year. I also experienced a miracle as well when I survived a 10-minute seizure that almost took my life. My dear friends, I share this small testimony with all of you because God and I both know that there are people that have been brought up through various circumstances, cultural backgrounds, and beliefs that need to know that Jesus lives in my heart and the days of miracles are far from over.

Are YOU ready for YOUR miracle?

This is only the beginning my friends and I will update all of you as the miracles happen in not only my life, but in the lives of those around me and those all around the world. God has a wonderful plan for your life (Jeremiah 29:11) my dear friends! That is what I call BOLD FAITH!!! I want to thank you all very much from the very bottom of my heart for reading this post as I know that God has ministered to you in a miraculous and mysterious way. May God continue to bless you and keep you friends! Jesus loves you and so do I!!!...:-)

Wait!

Rest in the LORD, and wait patiently for him: fret not yourself because of him who prospers in his way, because of the man who brings wicked devices to pass. Cease from anger, and forsake wrath: fret not yourself in any way to do evil. For evildoers shall be cut off: but those that wait upon the LORD, they shall inherit the earth. (Psalms 37:7-9)

Boy oh boy! This post is a major sticking point in my life. I must admit, I haven't always been known to wait on anyone, much less wait (rest) on the Lord. I'm very confident that the vast majority of you can relate to my dilemma because we have the tendency to want to be the movers and the shakers of the environment we live in and the relationships we hold so dearly.

Waiting under certain conditions, especially under distress can be very challenging sometimes. The above scripture verse to WAIT PATIENTLY for Him. In spite of the conditions that we may find ourselves in, waiting patiently for HIM will have numerous benefits for us. Those benefits will also make an amazing impact in the quality of our lives and the lives of others.

In my own life, I was always on the move. As a result, I had the tendency to take matters into my own hands  whenever I felt like God or anyone else for that matter was taking too long for my liking. Little did I know that I ended up setting myself up for failure. When I ended up failing in various areas of my life, God had to use those failures to ground me so that I would have no other choice but to be totally dependent on Him.

It has been through those periods of failure where I have learned to become more and more dependent on Him as well as wait that things will eventually iron themselves out. The type of waiting that I have learned to develop over time has been more of an active wait moreso than a passive wait. Had I chosen to passively wait, even though passive waiting also has its place from time to time, I would possibly have ended up missing an opportunity to expand my scope of influence as I make the effort to advance God's kingdom here on Earth.

Exciting days are ahead my friends! Maybe some of us are already experiencing those days while some of us still have yet to experience something truly fulfilling and rewarding. Be patient my friends and wait on the Lord as He is continuing to His work in, through, and around your life. When we are able to wait patiently on the Lord, it's only a matter of time before God does the miraculous for you and everyone in your life.

So what are you waiting for friends?

Are you waiting for a financial breakthrough? Are you waiting for the results of a recent physical? Are you waiting for an opportunity to have a book published? Are you waiting for any kind of dream to be fulfilled? So many more questions can be asked. Regardless of whatever you're waiting for, always keep the faith and the hope that God will be the One to finish what He started in your life.

Thanks for reading this far my friends! May God continue to bless you and keep you in Jesus' mighty name! Jesus loves you and so do I!!!...:-). Last, but not least, I'm praying for YOU...yes...YOU!!!...:-D

Could I Ever!

A new heart also will I give you, and a new spirit will I put within you: and I will take away the stony heart out of your flesh, and I will give you a heart of flesh. (Ezekiel 36:26)

As Christians, could we ever be the kind of man, woman, and child that we are today without our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ?

That's a fair question to ask. Granted, most of my post almost have the appearance that it's repeating itself because it happens to be all about us and our relationship with Jesus Christ. For those of you that have been following this blog site for sometime will immediately take notice that I'm not in any way, shape, or form advocating religion.

I do not come to all of you in the name of Pentecostalism (my religion). I come to you in the name of Jesus Christ. The "Pharisee" in me will want to advance the name of Pentecost instead of in the name of Jesus. Quite frankly, with the scores of different religions out there, it would get very, very confusing real fast. Don't you agree?

So with having said that, the whole purpose and aim is not to point you to religion. I'm here to point you to a relationship. Relationship with Jesus. As all of you can tell already, I'm extremely passionate about Jesus and His role for my life. The above video says it all! If I was never outspoken about Him, I would be doing Him, me, and all of you a gross injustice.

As Christians, many of the subjects that we talk about today are centered in Jesus Christ. A little while ago, I did a series on servant leadership that have turned out to be the most widely viewed posts that I have written to date. During Christmastime, we all hear that "Jesus is the reason for the season" talk. As far as I'm concerned, Jesus is the reason for ALL seasons.

Jesus' birth is an extremely important event. So is His death and resurrection. The Bible, from Genesis to Revelation points to Jesus. For those of us who are not entirely convinced about Jesus and His role in our lives, we need to consult with the Bible first and foremost if we have access to one. If not, I strongly encourage you to find a God-fearing, Bible-practicing Christian to get to know more about Jesus more intimately. If none of that works for any reason, you can always email me at amircarmickydiaz73@gmail.com for further inquiries on Jesus and Christianity in general. It would be great to hear from you friend!...:-)

We all need to ask ourselves the following question...

Could I ever deny myself and someone else the honor and privilege to have an intimate relationship with Jesus Christ in every single area of our lives and spheres of influence?

Thanks again for reading this far my friends! My heart and soul leaps with joy when I am able to interact with all of you in an effort to advance God's kingdom here on Earth and for the benefit of all of His people. May God continue to bless you and keep you in Jesus' mighty name! Jesus loves you and so do I!!!...:-). Without further ado, I want to introduce to all of you Could I Ever by Planetshakers. Here's the lyrics below...ENJOY!!!...:-D.

COULD I EVER BY PLANETSHAKERS

When I woke up today
Thought of all the things You've done
Found myself here
Feeling all so overcome

You gave Your life away for me
Truly my heart belongs to You
So let me say

Could I ever thank You for
What You did at Calvary
When You bled and died for me
Could I ever turn away
Knowing that You paid the price
That I could never pay

When I think of the way
That You died upon that Cross
Bearing my sin
Even though my heart was lost

Great and Mighty!

God thunders marvelously with his voice; great things does he, which we cannot comprehend. (Job 37:5)

We serve a great and mighty God!

Those words are both extremely comforting and assuring friends! In some instances, God can be very difficult to comprehend. In most cases, all we need to do is pick up the Bible and read the contents within to get to know Him more. I have heard the song, "What A Mighty We Serve" countless times.

Those words still ring true in not only my life but in the life every single believer of Jesus Christ today. We live in pretty tumultuous times today. We hear news reports on tv all sorts of things that point to the end of the world as we know it and the soon coming of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ in all His glory.

Because Jesus is coming back very, very soon, we can find comfort and assurance that one day it will all be ok. Quite frankly, I will also go so far to say that things are ok right now in spite of everything we hear and the fallout of those events. God has given us many wonderful friends and family members that are there for us at almost a moment's notice.

Recently, I received a text message from an awesome friend and brother-in-Christ that God chose to use to simply let me know that I have been thought of and prayed for. Something as simple as that is evidence that I serve a great and mighty God. Our great and mighty God is extremely interested in the smallest details of our lives.

God is not only great and mighty...He's also Faithful and True!

Thank you so much for reading this post and enjoying this site my awesome friends! May God continue to bless you and keep you in Jesus' GREAT AND MIGHTY name! Jesus loves you and so do I!...:-). Without further ado, I want to bring to all of you Great and Mighty by Planetshakers. Here's the lyrics below...ENJOY!!!!...:-D

GREAT AND MIGHTY BY PLANETSHAKERS

I stand in this place and lift
Up my eyes to see
The glory of Your face

My God, how wonderful You are
How beautiful Your name
It calms the raging seas

With open arms I run into Your courts
I'll dance before You King of all the earth

You're great, great and mighty
King of glory, God of wonder
You're great, Ancient of Days
Keeper of my heart, lover of my soul

You are great and mighty
You are great and mighty
You are great and mighty
You are great

You are great
You are great

Favored!

And let the beauty of the LORD our God be upon us: and establish you the work of our hands upon us; yea, the work of our hands establish it. (Psalms 90:17)

You are favored!

Yes, you heard that correctly. No matter what is is your going through in life, YOU, my dear friend are favored. On the surface, it may not seem that way, but it is true because the beauty of the Lord is upon each and everyone of you. His love for you and I runs extremely deep and wide.

As we submit our lives to Him in humble gratitude, He will always bless the work of our hands. As a result, our hands as well as our feet and words will also be blessed. Not only do we find favor with God, but also with man. As the fruits of the Spirit are freely received and expressed at home, at church, and at work, we end up giving God the glory, the honor, and the praise. In return, we find favor with man in the form of God opening doors of opportunity for ministry, personal, and professional (business) reasons. Favor with man can also come in the form of a promotion in your job. It may also come into your life indirectly in the form of your children, spouse, and friends being blessed as well.

God's favor (beauty) is all around us my friends! All we need to do is seek His face and get to know Him as intimately as your heart, mind, and spirit desires. In the same way it's important for me to get to know all of you and vice versa, it's extremely important that we get to know God as we seek His favor in our lives. We are also simultaneously seeking favor with our fellow man at the same time.

I honestly believe there will come a day when I will receive emails from all around the world testifying of God's favor, grace, mercy, and love. Put it this way. My gmail inbox will be so full that I will have to separate whole days just to read and respond to every single one of them. My dear friends, this is where faith comes in and the favor of God expands itself to my Christian Living audience and beyond. God is indeed Faithful and True! All of you are in my heart, thoughts, and prayers.

Have you found God's favor in your life? If so, how? If not, why not?

Thanks again for reading and following Christian Living my awesome friends! When it's all said and done, it's not about me...it's all about Jesus! May God continue to bless you and keep you in Jesus' mighty name! Jesus loves you and so do I!!!...:-). Without further ado, I want to bring to all of you Favoured by Planetshakers. Here's the lyrics below...ENJOY!!!...:-)
