God Is With You!

Fear not; for I am with you: be not dismayed; for I am your God: I will strengthen you; yea, I will help you; yea, I will uphold you with the right hand of my righteousness. (Isaiah 41:10)

Pretty scary picture...right? That picture almost reminds me of the scene from the movie Deep Impact when a mega-tsunami from the comet's impact makes its way to the shoreline with that woman and her father standing there as they eventually get consumed by the waves.

Tsunamis can take on many forms. Most people know and understand that tsunamis are a result of either a landslide or more often by underwater earthquakes.

The irony of it all is that we often create our own "tsunamis". When we make unwise decisions, they can result in "tsunamis". Tsunamis are of nature's most dangerous and destructive forces on Earth. The tsunami that devastated the northeastern Japanese coastline a few years ago naturally comes to mind. As I have sat there and watched countless hours of video footage from various television networks from around the world, I couldn't help but sit behind my computer stunned at the devastation as the tsunami continue to destroy various buildings and lives in the process.

The point that I want to make is that in order for something bad to be created, something bad has to happen beforehand. The tsunami is the end result of a chain of events that have been happening  over an extended period of time. Our lives often follow the same destructive pattern. All it take is for one unwise decision to be enacted to find ourselves in the face of an incoming "tsunami".

Take heart my friends, no matter what your "tsunami" looks like, God is with you. The "tsunami" that develops as a result of the chain of events that have already taken place also provides God the opportunity to be glorified in the midst of the tragic circumstances that surround us. We have so much to thank God for. We must thank God for the resolve to persevere regardless of what we face in life, regardless of what's in front of us. We must also thank God for the comfort He provides in our lives as well. Last, but not least, we must also thank God for the peace that only He can provide when faced with an incoming "tsunami". When that young woman (who just so happens to be a female reporter) and her father accepted their fate, there had to be a different type of peace that had assured them because of the spirit of forgiveness the dominated the landscape of their relationship as daughter and dad.

Always remember...God is with you!

My dear friends, as we are able to bridge the gap of forgiveness between ourselves and God, we can easily stand in the face of an incoming and overwhelming "tsunami" as we stand on God's Word, His promises, and the amazing plans He has for us, our loved ones, friends, and family.

Thank you so much for reading this far my friends! May God continue to bless you and keep you all in Jesus' mighty name! JESUS LOVES YOU AND SO DO I!!!...:-)
