For I am in a strait between two, having a desire to depart, and to be with Christ; which is far better: (Phil. 1:23)

I must start this post with a very important question.

Where will you spend eternity?

That's a fair question, right? That depends on who you ask. Anyone who is influenced by sound biblical doctrine will come to the conclusion that everyone will spend eternity in one of two places, heaven or hell. It's important that we clearly understand what these two places are and what they represent.

Heaven is the dwelling place of the Deity; the abode of bliss; the place or state of the blessed after death.

Does this sound like the place you want to be at one day? I know this is the place where every single person would want to be regardless of what they are practicing or where they are living. The sad reality of the world we live in today, the vast majority of the people would much rather live out their lives with the momentary pleasures that this world has to offer. On top of that, people are usually swept up under the current of sin pleasures in the process attempting to escape the reality of the world they live in. Does this sound like you? If this does sound like you, it is never too late to repent and change your ways. Otherwise, there's another eternal place waiting in your wake...

Hell is the place or state of punishment for the wicked after death; the abode of evil spirits. Hence, any mental torment; anguish. The unfortunate part in all this talk about eternity, very few people ever really take stock on where they will spend eternity. Hell just so happens to be as real as heaven and there are tons of scripture verses to confirm this. Another sobering reality is that there are folks out there that actually deny the existence of hell as an actual place. Many people walk around with the mentality that hell is already on Earth.

Heaven is the abode of God and His angels. Hell is the abode of Satan and the forces of evil. Under any circumstances never forget the reality of these places. The way hundreds (even thousands) of people around the world are dying on a daily basis, those people will be spending their eternity somewhere. Long before most people experience a physical death, those same people have already died spiritually because of the way they are living.

This subject is not the easiest topic to blog about, but it's a subject that I choose not to ignore and will never apologize for because I have a responsibility before God to bring as much clarity to such a critical area in the lives of every single person that reads and follows Christian Living. Don't be surprised if there are more posts of this nature in the not-so-distant future as the Day of the Lord draws closer and closer to us with every passing moment. My hope and prayer is that God will open your eyes to the absolute truth of the reality of these places.

Thank you so much friends for reading this far! May God continue to bless you and keep you in Jesus' mighty name! JESUS LOVES YOU AND SO DO I!!!...:-)
