Blessed Is The Man (and Woman)!

Blessed is the man that trusts in the LORD, and whose hope the LORD is. (Jer. 17:7)

Blessed is the man, woman, and child who trusts the Lord.

Last Saturday, I was sitting in front of my television set as I watching a series of TV programs titled Aftermath. As I sat there and watch all these programs paint a pretty terrifying picture of what our planet will experience, all I can do is think about the eventually that there will be a new heaven and new earth. In light of all the potential apocalyptic  events that will slowly develop over time, in whom do we place our trust?

Do we place our trust and confidence in our own skills and ingenuity? Do we place our trust and confidence in the people around us? Are we dependent on the governments of the nations in which we live? These are definitely very valid questions. Inter-dependency on our friends, family, and loved ones are indeed very important and loaded with great benefits that everyone involved will benefit from.

Events such as these portrayed in the TV program Aftermath unfold over an extremely long and extended period of time. Our families, friends, and loved ones will slowly, but surely pass away. Our families, friends, and loved ones will eventually be consumed with their own cares and concerns. Before you know it, the only Person you can turn to is God Himself. For those of you out there that either worship another god instead of the one True Everlasting God, can you sit there and remain confident that there is someone else other than God Himself that will be there for you when (and if) you were to live long enough to experience a major event.

I often find myself saying that "God is indeed Faithful and True". In light of all the global events that are happening around us today, those words are beginning to ring more true now than ever before.  The reality that tomorrow is never promised to anyone and that any one of us can be living somewhere major where major natural disasters and human tragedies unfold, the only real comfort we can find is in Jesus alone.  My dear friends, the peace that God provides will never guarantee us that we will be free from harm, disappointments, and diverse trials. What His peace does provide is the assurance that we will not only be ready to meet our Maker, but the confidence, hope, and trust that God will embrace us and receive us with great joy. Yes, momentary peace can be found while we still live here on earth. The trouble is is that the peace we experience here on Earth is totally dependent on what happens around us whereas the peace that God provides is from within. With God's peace, there is nothing or no one that can shake you.

Blessed is the man, woman, and child who's trust is in the Lord!

Thank you so much for reading this far my friends! May God continue to bless you and keep you always! JESUS LOVES YOU AND SO DO I!!!...:-)
