Give Me Your Eyes!

Finally, brothers, whatever is true, whatever is honorable, whatever is just, whatever is pure, whatever is lovely, whatever is commendable, if there is any excellence, if there is anything worthy of praise, think about these things. (Phil. 4:8)

Hello friends! Welcome back for another amazing round of great christian music and biblical thinking! Now, you're probably thinking why I would open up the post this way. Speaking on behalf of myself and the many christian bloggers out there, when we decided to begin blogging about our lives, we had to approach whatever is written from a BIBLICAL WORLDVIEW. With that said, the bottom line for us christian bloggers, book authors, and public speakers, etc...etc... is to be able to see the subject matter at hand the way GOD SEES IT. This music video reveals how God wants us to be able to view the world. God has, is, and always will view everything in black and white. He will never look at anything with a gray lens. Why? Because anyone that understands what happens when we mix black with white and vice versa...we get gray. The gray area represents compromise. In some instances, compromise is a very healthy thing...especially in marriage between husband and wife in an effort to provide stability and safe home environment for one another and any children that may be involved. Compromise from that perspective is healthy. But there's also compromise that is not healthy. Any kind of compromise that would (and will) jeopardize our values and morals, especially in the areas of family and faith would prove to be dangerous and destroy anything that has been given to us from God's hand.  So let me encourage you friends, let's start viewing ALL OF LIFE the way God already sees it. Whenever you find yourself at a crossroads, whether it be a breakthrough that's about to unfold in your life, or you have found yourself in a crisis situation, ASK GOD to give you HIS EYES. Make that request a part of your daily prayer and you will never regret that you have made that decision. Who will you rather follow? God? Or the three blind mice? I think I know the answer to that question...;-).

With that said, and without any further delay, here's Give Me Your Eyes by Brandon Heath. May God continue to bless you and keep you all! Jesus loves you and so do I! Here's the lyrics:

Looked down from a broken sky
Traced out by the city lights
My world from a mile high
Best seat in the house tonight
Touched down on the cold black top
Hold on for the sudden stop
Breath in the familiar shock
Of confusion and chaos
All those people going somewhere,
Why have I never cared?

Give me your eyes for just one second
Give me your eyes so I can see
Everything that I keep missing
Give me your love for humanity
Give me your arms for the broken hearted
Ones that are far beyond my reach.
Give me your heart for the ones forgotten
Give me your eyes so I can see

Step out on a busy street
See a girl and our eyes meet
Does her best to smile at me
To hide what's underneath
There's a man just to her right
Black suit and a bright red tie
Too ashamed to tell his wife
He's out of work
He's buying time
All those people going somewhere
Why have I never cared?

I've Been there a million times
A couple of million eyes
Just moving past me by
I swear I never thought that I was wrong
Well I want a second glance
So give me a second chance
To see the way you see the people all along

Chorus (x2)

[In Background]
Give me your eyes!
Lord give me your eyes!
Everything, I keep missing
Give me your arms!
For the broken hearted!
Give me your arms,
Lord, give me your eyes.

Yeah (x8)
